    Oldest Smoked Tobacco...

Hello there, I was thinking about this the other day about how many of us don't have some of the famous old stuff and probably never will own it. So in the spirit of living vicariously though the smoking descriptions of others I wondered if some of you would share what you have smoked recently...

    Stoving Tobacco and Thoughts?

Hello all, I recently tried stoving a couple of tobaccos I owned that I thought were a bit one dimensional. A. Capstan Blue. B. Peter Stokkebye Luxury Bullseye Flake C. Peter Stokkebye Luxury Flake. I followed a recipe from a YouTube smoker suggesting the "four 2's". 200 degrees in the...

    Tobacco Recipe Books

Don’t know if it’s been done but I would love to hear your thoughts on titles worth chasing down. Regardless of how difficult they would be to acquire. I remember forever ago on the Country Squire Podcast John David mentioning some and wished I wrote them down. Thanks for any help.

    Peterson P-Lip Spit Collector

Anyone else have this struggle with this type of stem. I have plenty of pipes and have smoked for decades. No problems with any other pipe but this is my first voyage with this type of stem…not liking it. Lol

    Selling Valuable Cellared Tobacco

Not contesting the current prices in the tobacco for sale listings, but definitely a high rollers market. I also am old enough to know what you ask for isn't necessarily what you get. But it got me thinking of an interesting conundrum where if you sit long enough on stuff, it may become so...

    Small vs. Wide/Big bowl

Title edited. See Rule 9. I’ve seen this pop up over various chats about smoking particular tobaccos with favorite pipes. Is there a general rule of thumb with Virginia’s vs Lat bombs faring better in one type of bowl size than another. Maybe it’s not the type of tobacco but the type of cut...

    Searchtempest for Pipe Tobacco

For the life of me I can't remember the name of the website that I used to go to that was a global search of new tinned pipe tobacco and where it was being sold along with prices. Anyone able to help out a brother here?

A Peterson and Some 1894 Poetry

    Secrets Revealed: Bulk Blends

Context. This continues from the “last bowl thread.” I would love to hear from former employees and store blenders. I’ve always assumed more exotic tobaccos and brands were used to blend renamed store blends (I.e. McClelland tobaccos and thus the end of some of the store blends because of...

What Would You Do? Last Bowl...

Title edited, Rule 9. Looking for some advice on a no longer produced tobacco blend. I have two bowls left of a 2014 blend called Brigadoon (I imagine it was sourced from McClelland's tobacco's). Kind of a sweet English blend. I haven't been able to locate anyone sitting on a stash of it...

    Podcast World Going Forward.

Title edited for caps and brevity. See Rule 9. Now that Bo and John David are hanging it up with podcasting. Are there other podcasts out there that others can point me to that are great? Whether it be YTPC or a podcast I would love to hear your opinions. Thanks

Does Sasieni pipes have a filter?

I have a 4 for Sasieni bulldog that I can’t get a pipe cleaner through. It has a screw on stem. If it does, any way of removing it?

Am I Doing the Math Right?!

Title edited for caps. Please read Rule 9! -jpm Got to thinking the about all of these limited releases of tobacco. I usually track with Ken Byron Ventures limited stuff of which seem to be in batches of 4-10 pounds. I got to thinking about C&D’s limited releases and them stamping it X/5000 so...

    Your Cellar Size

Hello everyone, just curious if you had to guess, how many ounces/pounds of tobacco do you have cellared? Did you have a strategy behind that amount? Just thinking about my own cellar and how much I want to have set aside in case prices get ridiculous. Thanks for any input.

    Tobacco Company Shipments

This is probably a question for anyone who has owned a B&M tobacco store. Do companies have a consistent shipment of their products to you as a store owner? I would imagine some of the larger companies can ship, barring ingredient limitations, as the demands of orders come in to them from...

    Storing Ken Byron Blends

Hey folks, For those who have Ken Byron blends you know that he sends it out in mylar bags. If you're not going to smoke them right away do you leave it in the bags long term? Or do you make the transfer to jars? I have plenty of jars, just don't know if I need to transfer them if the bags...

    Repressing Tinned Tobacco

Hello all, has anyone repressed tinned tobacco to be able to smoke it sooner. Ie. many have suggested including the tin itself on C&D Bijou to sit on it. I was curious if taking it out and pressing it for a month if the process helps achieve a bit the aging process. Maybe I'm entirely off...
