I will say.. after doing this one, I respect pipe makers even more than I did before.

    First Crack at Pipe Making

I used a sanding flap wheel chucked in the lathe . Then finished with a dremel and finally hand sanding with sanding sponges. I eventually want to get a belt sander and a disc.

    First Crack at Pipe Making

And the finished product. Chamber is a tad deep, but it smoked the first two bowls just grand!

    First Crack at Pipe Making

EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title (See Rule 9) Well, had a gracious buddy donate an old 4 jaw chuck to me, along with a chunk of briar, ebonite and a couple drill bits. So figured I may as well give it a shot! I almost messed the block up twice, and did mess the stem up but was able to save...

What are You Drinking? (January 2021)

Started my new year off with a pour of Russel's Reserve Single Barrel and a smoke in my first ever crack at pipe making.

    I Got COVID!

They had it rough then. I've known over a dozen people that have gotten it, probably closer to 20 at this point. One went on a vent, two were very sick and the rest were ranging from common cold side effects to feeling like they had the flu. I feel you've got great chances coming out just...

Air Filtration Upgrade in Home Office

Please do, I'll be curious to see how it goes! Every review I've seen says they do wonderfully at removing the smoke from the room, but still leave behind some odor. Keep us posted ?

Air Filtration Upgrade in Home Office

None of these will work well for cigars as far as odor goes. But as said above, pipes put off a much less offensive odor, and much less smoke in general. I've loved everything I've read about the rabbit air. I think that is the unit I would choose as well.

    Zippo Lighter or Butane Lighter

I use an old boy style knock off. But its useless outside. Im about to order a butane pipe insert for an extra zippo I have laying around.

What Cigar Are You Smoking, 2020?

Sunday started off with an Aganorsa Supreme Leaf: Followed by a Davidoff Special "R" 702: Followed by a Camacho NBA (This one surprised me): And ended the day with a Hiram & Solomon lancero:

What Cigar Are You Smoking, 2020?

I had a pretty decent weekend! Smoked some great cigars: Friday Night - Stolen Throne Oath Taker (C-Fed exclusive) Saturday started off with an AVO 30th with a few years of age on it: Followed by an Illusione Haut 10: Then a Tatuaje Little Boris: And finally an LFD La Nox to finish...

    Cigar Beetles?

eh, that would be the first I've heard of them freezing cigars. Also, they better get a better "draw test machine" if thats also true, because cubans are still a 50/50 crap shoot between good draw and plugged.
