    Ennerdale Flake

Well my 8 oz came in Thursday. I can’t stop smoking this stuff. I forgot how absolutely fantastic this was. Just ordered a pound more. Either my taste buds have changed, or I can’t remember what it tasted like, but this batch is a roller coaster of flavor. I’m getting a cinnamon apple with...

Sadly a second Stagg Tobacco ( here in Phoenix) shop has closed up. I stopped by today they close the doors for good Next Tuesday. I have been a loyal customer at this Metro site for many years. The Scottsdale store will be the only one left. They had fantastic cigar and pipe deals going on. 50%...

American Dental Care is Way Over Priced.

I have recently had a bunch of dental work done. I have duel citizenship between US and Mexico. I live in the US. I work i the US and my dental Insurance is in the US. Make a really long story short. My US dentist said I needed about 18,000 dollars worth of work. My Insurance only covers 1,500...

    Mac Baren Dark Twist

I picked up a tin of this and ODF, last week at my BM. I never tried it before and as fussy as I am, I wasn’t sure I’d like it. I’m almost done the tin and absolutely love it. ODF I have smoked before it’s ok. My question is what’s similar to Dark Twist?

    Charatan and Comoys

They seem to have a lot of the same smoking characteristics. Definitely not a open draw. I smoke a good amount of different Comoys. Bought a Charatan 4148 DC pot to add to the rotation. The Charatan is definitely the tightest draw I have ever had. I really like it. It’s worlds away from my...

    Help Dating Charatan

Picked up this little charm. Have no idea on a date. I have some idea in my head, but could be way off. I read about everything, and still not sure. Any opinions or suggestions.

    Comoys Specimen

It’s the big one. I had to do a lot of moving around, trading, etc to get to be able to add this one to my collection. I had the opportunity to buy another one last year but passed, it was more of a natural stain and finish which I didn’t care for. This one was exactly what I was looking for...

    Charatan Question

Does DC , double comfort that comes after model number . Does that automatically mean It’s after dunhill took over? Even though it’s still marked with a L. Lane era? So In essence if you see DC you can date it to after 1980?

    Comoys Discussion

What’s your opinion on dating by “ Reinforced at the push”. I had a few conversations with some big collectors. The common theory was the patent was filed for a fact in 1938. However it’s stated that they did not implement it until 1940 or so. It ran for only a few years until ww2 1945 or so...

    Barlings Pot

Well I wanted to add some solid pipes to the collection. Here is One I added. This is a unsmoked pre transition Barlings Pot. It’s has the Reg patent date on stem so I’ll have to ask exactly those years. It came with a box. I have no idea if it’s the original box. ]

    Repurposed Cigar Cabinet

EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title (See Rule 9) I made this a few years ago. I’m down to under 10 boxes and rarely smoke a cigar anymore. I moved them to a cooler. And moved all my pipes and tobacco over. Must say I like this a pipe cabinet. I bought these cheap plastic clear stands on eBay.

Reversed My Opinion of Haddos Delight.

EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title (See Rule 9) Well I am doing a 180. First 2 times tried it, thought who the hell would smoke this. My good card buddy Mimi loves this stuff. As a joke he bought me a small tin for Christmas. I have been revisiting it all week. It’s growing on me. I actually...

    Loewe Barry Apple

Added this little charm of a pipe to my old Britt wood collection. First Loewe i owned. It’s pre 67, Unsmoked pipe, in the classic Apple shape. The red stain is beautiful and the color fits the shape. Thought this fit in my collection wonderfully.
