Tip I learned A Few Years Ago. 3-31-24

Great tip - sometimes works well if the flavors get muddled, especially if it's due to a build-up of tars. I would add that after purging in this manner, it helps to let the cigar calm down for a minute or so before resuming puffing. I'll add my favorite tip - dryboxing. If a cigar is too...

What Cigar Are You Smoking? 2024

Working through a LFD Andalusian Bull. It's my second and I like this blend a lot. It is not the same old oakey LFD blend - should age amazingly.

    STG: Sales Flat, Profits Down

If that is the Cigars International building in the background, I propose that during the next spate of rioting, some of the people working the statues need to paint this one up as a clown. All would be right in the universe at that point. As for STG, it's simple - all they need to do is start...

    A Question About Anthology 2023

Were it me, I'd check them all now and then jar or mylar. No guarantee they'll have the same policies in place in 3 years.

    A Question About Anthology 2023

When in doubt, throw it out. Some molds are benign, but many are not. There have been a few threads about mold with this particular release. I have heard C&D will make this right if you contact them directly. Good luck!

La Tradicion Cubana corona - my personal epitome of "under the radar gems." Similar to Montesinos (another fantastic bargain), but with a lot of added depth from the Honduran Criollo binder and dash of Nicaraguan filler.

    Tax Pros? QBI Question

Tax advice, medical advice, legal advice, construction advice - I've been on a dozen tobacco forums over the years, but this one takes the cake for people asking critical questions about serious issues to internet strangers. Do people not hire professionals anymore? How do you know you're...

What Cigar Are You Smoking? 2024

La Aurora 120th Anniversary. Having my second of the five pack and, man, the aging potential in these things is astounding. They're not burning perfect right now, but the burn and the ash reminded me precisely of most Havanas that need aging to reveal the blender's intent. Could be the best...

What Cigar Are You Smoking? 2024

With Havanas becoming so scarce and expensive over the last couple years, I've fallen back into La Flor Dominicana in a big way - so many fantastic blends if you like the Dominican character. Last night, a 2013 Monte Carlo that has the legs to age for the next 10 years at least.
