    Savinelli Tortuga Hungarian

It definitely seems to prefer flake over ribbon cut. Telegraph Hill is a tad hot, but OGS was great. Curious what coins would do, haven’t been able to get my hands on Deluxe Navy Rolls in a bit.

    Savinelli Tortuga Hungarian

I tried something similar with rubbed out Orlik Golden Sliced, minimal clenching, and the filter (except I opted for a Missouri meerschaum balsa filter because I’ve had a bunch of those hanging around for a few years) and it just gave one of the most gentle and pleasant smokes I’ve had from any...

    Savinelli Tortuga Hungarian

I’ve been smoking 3 or 4 years now, I’m fairly new compared to a lot of lifelongers here but I am familiar and practiced with everything discussed. This is the only pipe in my rotation I’ve had this problem with, the rest smoke fantastically. This is my first of the style however, and I...

    Savinelli Tortuga Hungarian

I’ll give that a go. I’ve got an event this evening so I’ll load a bowl, cap it, and give it a go dried out. I’ll try the filter too to see if that helps.

    Savinelli Tortuga Hungarian

I have a Sav Hungarian in the Tortuga trim package that I need some help figuring out. This guy has condensation issues. The result is a very steamy smoke that does not feel or taste particularly pleasing, especially as the bottom of the bowl nears. I’m trying to smoke it adapter and filter...

    VB Vinche Tommy

Hey guys, so this is as much me showing a pipe I own as asking for info about the producer. It’s a VB Vinche Tommy half-bent Brandy, sort of a pear profile. Smokes well, but only likes lat blends. I like this pipe pretty well, but I can’t find any info anywhere on VB Vinche. What do y’all know...

    Need Help Identifying A Pipe

I think you're right! When I zoom in on that pic on my phone I can barely make out what looks to be that upside down triangular WDC stamp on the bit. It's a little lower down on the bit than most of the Wellingtons I'm looking at, but 95% positive that's what it is. Thank you!

    Need Help Identifying A Pipe

This is my old mentor, Prof. John J McDermott. He was a philosophy professor at Texas A&M. I never did ask him while he was alive what brand of pipe he smoked, and I picked up the hobby after his death. It looks very similar to a Peterson B42, but the short space between the army mount and the...
