    "My" First Pipe

My wife bought me a pipe carving kit for Christmas. The pre-drilled block is all but useless, so I decided to repurpose an existing pipe. The pipe I used was an Unstamped Brandy. Engineering is spot on and ebonite stem is very nice. It began at 69 grams with a smooth contrast stain. Although...

Modified IMP Meerschaum - Ryan Alden

Sent my IMP to Ryan Alden to have an ebonite stem cut. The IMP stem was very bad; overly thick and poorly executed. Ryan didn't like some of the aesthetics and wanted to clean up the profile. He reduced and flattened the heel, thinned and tapered the shank and opened airway to 5/32". Also...

Blends comparable to Watch City Cigar Double Barrel?

I am smoking way may through a few ounces of WCC Double Barrel. I bought on release and haven't reached for it. It is quite good and my stash won't last me long. Any comparable aromatic I should be looking to try?

    New Pipe - MarTelo Jatoba

This is my first MarTelo. I’ve followed him on IG for a while and like his approach to traditional shapes and sandblasting. Stumbled onto this one on eBay. Not my typical style and It is my first bamboo pipe. It’s a compact pipe but has a tall, slim bowl. Should make for an interesting smoke:

    Forum’s Best Pipe

This place is chalk full of incredible pipes. What is the one pipe that sticks out to you every time it’s posted? My vote goes to @tnfan for his Von Erck brandy. Hope you don’t mind me using your photo. This pipe more than any I’ve seen captures the essence of a game bird, a pheasant...

    My First JT Cooke

I probably won’t have many opportunities to own a pipe like this so I gave this auction my best shot and won. Big OKF Billiard at 108 grams. Will be watching the mailbox for a few days.

    Victor Yashtylov Feedback

Yashtylov is an infamous carver on this forum because of some very odd shaping decisions ? Any feedback on the quality of his work otherwise? There is a pipe listed on eBay and the shaping is awesome. Was hoping someone could share experience with his stuff

    Commission from BST Pipes

Just received my commission from @sasquatch of BST Pipes. @tfdickson I used your smooth bent billiard as a starting point, so thank you. 84 grams and about a hundred rings. Really beautiful pipe and great guy to work with:

    Any Ingo Garbe fans?

I haven’t seen his work in person, but I appreciate his outlook on carving pipes. This is in route from Germany. My first Garbe:

    The Unknown

I won this eBay auction. I love everything about this pipe, but the catch is it’s not stamped whatsoever. For some reason that makes it even better: Looking forward to seeing it in person.

    Any Profit in Restoring Pipes?

Edited: title. In place of "Is there value here?" Used mso's suggestion. -jpm This lot looks good - this would be my first venture into repairing pipes, but it’s a reputable dealer and I’d think there’s value at current price...

New pipe from wife: TREBOR 30s/40s

I am a sucker for obscure pipes from the Pre-WW2/WW2 era. This appears to have the original 14k gold band. Love how the stem transitions into a razor thin button. Won’t receive until Christmas. Any of you folks know anything about Trebor?

    Obstructed Meerschaum

I received this a couple days ago. Ebay purchase. There is a complete obstruction that I cannot get out. I successfully removed the stem and confirmed airflow is good. I can pass a pipe cleaner until the bend, and it being such a small pipe, I can't get to the obstruction through bowl...

    Early 1900s Meerschaum

I don't have any meerschaum pipes and I'm thinking I want one over 100 years old. @ashdigger I know you have a few very old meers. Where should I start? Are there certain brands to target on ebay? Thanks

    Any Experience with Anatoly Sibiryatkin?

I came across this pipe on ebay and won the auction. Somewhat accidental but it wasn't a ton of money so I am happy. From what I gather he is a Russian carver with low output. Anyone have experience with his work?

    Any Experience with Amorelli?

Family was looking for Xmas gift ideas so I sent this, which I assume they bought. Took advantage of smokingpipes.com 15% off sale: Any experience with Amorelli, either good or bad? I haven't read much about them.

    Experience with Holmer Knudsen Pipes?

Does anyone own a pipe carved by Holmer Knudsen? I haven't heard of him before. There is a really sharp pencil shank calabash posted on Ebay right now that is tempting me. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks
