    Mike Butera For Carmignani Roma

Yeah it’d be hard to come back from that. He’s still enjoying his pipes and tobacco, presumably?

    Mike Butera For Carmignani Roma

That's too bad but it makes sense. He talked about selling his insurance business and taking a pay cut to make pipes. Sounded like it was really a passion project for him but when something like that happens later into your life it's hard to want to rebuild from the ground up.

    DGE Custom Cobs

Doug died and he definitely would've wanted a pipe that he created to be smoked. I think he had cobs that were 30 or 40 years old and they looked glorious and apparently smoked just as well.

When to Not Restore? "Selected by Sasieni" Double One Dot

I'd love to see George or Rustie restore that as it would be pretty much brand new after they were done with it.

    Sisimbro Pipes

I don't have any experience with the brand. I'm guessing it was made by one of the big factories in Italy. Something about the shaping reminds me of Molina pipes but obviously can't say for sure if it came out of that factory. I know your pain, though. I've wanted a pipe from an Italian store...

Any Experience with These Petersons ?

If you want a system spigot billiard that's a little lighter check out the 314. The Deluxe Classic sounds like a 68 which is also a nice, hefty shape. If you want to try the p-lip I'd go with the system spigot as it not only has the p-lip but the army mount, well, and graduated draft hole. A...

Yeah and I’m guessing this is the nicest one they got since they decided to photograph it. a 338 is always tempting to me but this one is a very easy pass.
