    Some of My Inherited Pipes

A few months back I mentioned some of my grandfather’s pipes. I was cleaning today and found a little stash of them. I thought I’d share. They all need a good cleaning, except the little square one. It hasn’t been used. Edited by jvnshr: Title capitalization (please check Rule #9)

    Zippo

I tried to light it tonight for the first time in a week or so. Finally empty. ? So, for the record I filled it Jan 1. I would open it and light it every day so so. Then put the ranger band back on. Lasted until around Mar 11. Evaporation isn’t an issue I don’t think.

Restoration of Grandpa’s Middleton II Bent Smooth Briar

I’m happy with how it turned out. I’ve had a lot of other stuff going on so I haven’t had a lot of time. I didn’t “restore” this one as much as preserve. I kept the teeth chatter in the stem because it was grandpa’s. I also kept the marks on the rim because they were from his use. I cleaned it...

Restoration of Grandpa’s Middleton II Bent Smooth Briar

I’ve finally worked up courage to work on my Grandpa’s pipe. I want to restore it but I’m nervous.

    Zippo

I’ve seen those rubber pads and wonder why Zippo didn’t install them. Must be a reason.

    Keeping a Tobacco Log

I prefer the paper method as well. I think I'll just keep a list of those I like and those I don't want to try again. Simple and to the point. I may make a couple comments under them, but I think I've decided on a simple list.
