    Ole Shenandoah Discontinued?

has this line been discontinued? would be a shame. I really like the Appalachian harvest, and their other offerings sound enticing as well. I don't smoke very frequently, so when I do I want it to count! If it has been discontinued, and anyone has some extra tins that they would be willing to...

    100th Bowl

I began this hobby October 23, 2019 (I keep a spreadsheet of every bowl I smoke). I had no relationship with tobacco prior. Just something about a pipe that all of the sudden appealed to me. I convinced myself that if I smoked <2.5 bowls per week (filter, no inhaling) I am reducing the risks to...

    Stokkebye English Oriental Supreme

Do others like this as much as me? To me, it pretty much scratches all of the non-aromatic itches. I find myself not usually wanting My other English blends. I typically smoke aromatics, but this stuff is my go-to alternative. Cheers Drew

    Best Pipe/Drink Combo.

For me it’s iced coffee. Just pairs perfectly, IMO. Cheers Drew

    I’ll Tell You What...

There is nothing wrong with a bowl of Captain Black Gold. I may be an OTC guy. I love Velvet and SWR as well.

    Cardio Benefit?

I am an avid fitness buff and Just a very occasional pipe smoker (1-2 bowls per week). Now, this could very well be spurious correlation, but I swear the day after I smoke a bowl, I have great jogs... lungs feel open and my legs feel light. Who knows, but at the very least, smoking a bowl...

    #50

I'm still new to this. A relatively infrequent smoker, averaging 2 bowls per week. Today was my 50th bowl! Carter Hall in a Molina with 9mm charcoal filter. Nice weather here in IL today. Secluded myself in a forest preserve listening to some 1950's big band tunes. I do not have a history with...

    Stokkebye English/Oriental Supreme

... yeah... this stuff is REALLY good!

    Pease Offerings

OK... in large part I'm posting this because of the pun in the title. It's rare I come up with something this clever. My sons, I am sure, would call this a "dad joke," and role their eyes (as I can sense many of you are doing as you read this). Nevertheless, I have tried a few GL Pease...

    Tobacconists in Las Vegas?

Any worth visiting that are on the strip or within walking distance? thanks Drew

    Wind

Is it normal for windy conditions to potentially decrease smoking time by up to half? My favorite outside spot is often windy, and I’m getting just 25 minutes, or so. I understand that wind causes the tobacco to burn more quickly. But I feel cheated... I love the 45-50 minutes the typical bowl...

I Am Sure I am Not The First Person To Figure This Out...

...the boxes/cases that many pipes come in make great totes for your pipe on the go-- at least the few I have bought so far. Fits the pipe, lighter and/or matches, cleaners, couple small baggies of tobacco, filters, golf tee/tamper... all in a nice little bundle. Cheers Drew

    Suggestions/Recommendations Requested

I am Just a couple months into this (and only 14 bowls). I am trying some non-aro blends for the first time (although I have smoked half and half and Carter Hall... which I guess are not considered aros. I actually quite liked the Half and Half the last time I smoked it.. but I digress). I was...

    Question on Flavor

I am very new to this... just 7 bowls in and no form of tobacco smoking prior. I really just got tobacco taste when I tried captain black gold and Lane 1q. So I bought some Sutliff vanilla custard, thinking that would be as sweet as they get... super strong and sweet tin note. But again, I got...

    Hello From Chicago

Like many others, I have been lurking for a while. Long story long... 47 years old and never smoked tobacco in my life (save the drunken cigarette or celebratory cigar... but even that's been 15-20 years). I lead a clean lifestyle, health conscious, yada yada. The health risks are of concern to...
