    Blending Pecentages

    Do blenders take water weight into account when blending? If you add a moist tobacco to a drier one then it seems that a "by weight" percent won't be a true measure of the blend. 25% by weight may be a lot less volume wise. Just pondering!!

    Looking for VA/PERS

    I am a relatively new pipe smoker and have discovered I love va/pers. The only one I have is C&D Bayou Mourning which I love. Looking for suggestions on good va/pers that are available in bulk. Don't have the money for Tinned tobacco. Thanks for any sugesstions.

    End of Bowl Procedure

    As a newer pipe smoker, I have been wondering when to remove the tobacco left at the bottom of the bowl when done smoking. Do I remove it while the pipe is warm, wait till it's cool, or doesn't matter? Am I being anal? EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title - Bob

    I am fairly new to pipe smoking and have seen many comments that one should never remove the stem of a pipe while it is warm(hot) because it can crack or damage the shank. As a long time service tech, I have learned that materials expand slightly when heated. Many times I have used a torch to...
