Hey there. Am I the önly one having a problem finding quality “strike anywhere” matches? I’ve purchased a couple boxes of Diamond matches and they suck! I remember being able to strike and ignite on a zipper, cement, bark, etc., but no more. Heck, they hardly ignite on the box striker. Suggestions?- Burley Guy

I just acquired 4 Vauen pipes from the McRooty series, model 010, 011, 013 and a 511. The are beautiful, new in the box, pipes with fantastic sterling silver bands. I’m trying another Match tobacco again today. PA Match, is a nice ribbon cut which loads nicely in my Stanwell Trio 11filtered pipe I picked up in Germany. Match Carter Hall
So, I bought a few ounces of various “match” tobaccos recently, and lit up a bowl yesterday of Carter Hall. Yuk! I smoked it in a Rossi 8611, a Bent Dublin. It was harsh, to say the least.
