    1995 Christmas Cheer

Thats been my experience as well, if the aged tobacco is good when you opened it, store it properly and it should hold.

    The Most Disappointing Tobacco

Probably Stonehaven was the biggest disappointment especially since I paid close to $200 for a bag. Not sure if it was the batch but even tho it smelled amazing, it was completely flat when smoked. But what Ive found is that with alot of the blends I thought weren't that great at first, when I...

How Many Blends in Your Cellar?

    Enough to get thru Armageddon

    Any chess players?

Very true. I can see why beginners and just players in general love to learn openings. It gives them something to grasp, something with a name that they can understand and memorize to a certain point. But its usually the middle game or endgame where the game is decided, either a winning tactic...

    C&D Mold Issue?

This is what I always thought. Their blends are closer to being natural and may be why theyre known for being a little rugged sometimes. Mold proof blends must have some chemicals applied to them that prevents mold, but by the same token it probably prevents the blend from aging properly due to...

    Any chess players?

You dont really need to know opening theory until you're higher rated. You just need to know opening principles.

    Any chess players?

I love chess, I started playing in 2015 although I played a bit when I was a kid. I watch all the major tournaments and alot of youtube videos. Actually Im watching the US Chess Championships as Im writing. I mainly play daily (correspondence) chess on chess.com and am rated about 2000. For...

    This Ain't Tobacco. I'm Done.

As a newly christened grandfather, I can now confirm that indeed things aren't made like they used to be just like grandpa always said. Also, movies and music were way better when I was growing up. And oh yea, kids these days don't know how good they got it.

Jim's C&D Sun Bear Tupelo Review.

Sounds lovely. Its a yearly tradition at this point.

    2016 CRF Issues

Do you want mostly natural tobacco that might mold or do you want chemical laden tobacco that is guaranteed not to mold but doesn't seem to age properly? Reminds me of the experiment where someone put a real hamburger in a jar and a McDonald's hamburger in other jar. Didn't take long for the...

    Aged Yorktown Yummy

It kind of reminds me of the 2022 carolina red flake although that may not help you much. They're not the same maybe more like distant cousins. Its hard to find comparisons for tobacco blends since they all have their own personalities.

    Aged Yorktown Yummy

I bought a couple ounces of bulk Yorktown in 2019 and sort of forgot about it. I must say it's really evolved into something quite nice. It's got some depth to it from the reds but the star of the show is the naturally sweet and tart bright virginias. Being in the same jar for a few years has...

    Bought 2002 GLP Cumberland. Oops?

FWIW Cumberland normally comes rather dry compared to most blends, I believe that's how the blender intends it to be smoked. That being said it's not so dry that it crumbles to dust.

    Invest in Tobacco?

At the bare minimum it holds its value as a hedge against inflation. Either you'll smoke it or you'll sell it for what you paid for it, if not more.

    Real Bad at Lighting Cigars

Some cigars will run on one side no matter how perfectly even you light them. You just have to do a little touch up lighting as you're smoking it.

    Fuente Warehouse Fire

Man that's alot of good tobacco up in smoke. Hate it for all the hard work that went in to the production.

    Disappointed with EMP

EMP is one of those blends that has alot of mixed reviews. Some people love it and others don't. I've heard everything from pencil shavings to vomit to in your case crushed Marlboro. I'm one of those that likes it. I think it's well balanced and not too much latakia.

    Burley Recommendation

When I think of burley the first thing that comes to mind is Pegasus, but there are many others.

    Collecting cigars

Same with pipe tobacco, sometimes I wonder if I'm a collector since I seem to buy way more than I'll ever smoke
