Tobaccos for Rolling and Pipe Smoking?

Just about any virginia or burley without a casing can be smoked as a cigarette, and then so can most turkish heavy blends as well. The big thing that should be kept in mind is that most pipe tobaccos need to be dried out a fair bit before they are suited to fags. Another thing to note is that...

    Is food the new tobacco?

I can't really tell what the author's point is. Is her supporting both he tobacco and cigarette trends, being satirical, or just making a blithe commentary? Regardless, I myself have been thinking of this sinceI arrived in Thailand. the food here gives me so much energy, and I feel better (minus...

    Alone know what this is?

Heh, those lines are from the light shades. though I made a pretty big mistake in. My earlier inspection,I return to the camel-bone theory after getting it Nader better lighting and a bisecting lens (that's x 10 magnification n this case) I wastired earlier man, and didn't care enough to really...

    Alone know what this is?

Thanks much for fixing the links Jason! Al right so I did some more research and each, definitely opium pipe. Two things sold me on it, first that it h the bowl cap, which a medwakh does not (tis just occurred to me due to mluyckx's picture). Second, I was pretty sure it is indeed ivory, not...

    Alone know what this is?

So my old man forgot to hide my x-mas present he picked up in Laos and I was wondering if anyone had seen something me it before and might know what it was. Sme kind of pipe obviously, but unlike anything I think I've seen before. I dont think that worked, but I don't have a pc around so...

Fantastic news mate. Glad everything went all right for him. Give him a tip of the hat from me as well mate. All politics aside, I appreciate what any man that signs up for the armed forces has done. Merry christmas!

    Thailand!

Well I just got in a couple hours ago. They had chicken and seaweed at 7eleven! Pretty yum for a 2 am meal! Also got some great fags at the duty free in SFO (three is the brand) for 8usd a carton. Very very light but very good. Though they're actually Chinese. I'll start taking pics when the...

Is it o.k. to leave half smoked tobacco in the pipe?

I do it on occasion myself. It's a matter of taste and otherwise harmless. I also occasionally load a noel agee hours before smoking to dry out over-moist tobaccos a bit

    Thailand!

I'll check the plaza for that shop, but I live in DFW, we have one of the larger malls in the US right here --- the hell would I seek out a mall for? Heh heh. Anyway, going for pleasure, and my old man lives there and has a car -- I've no need for a cab at all. Only 1.25 hours before I head out...

Did this guy like meers or what?

Fair price, but hard to sell it all at once, especially since it is 4 simple groups of pipes (more in less simple terms) that would be easier to sell, and probably yield more monies total. Myself, I'd seriously consider buying a collection of just the bottom stuff (the bruyers)-- could actually...

    Thailand!

I'm going to Thailand (in 4 hours actually) -- anyone been there and know a tobacco shop in Phuket? I can't bring enough with me so I seriously need somewhere to buy more >.

Almost time for new tobacco -- help?

Your basic ideas help me cut it down significantly. Seriously -- that's the point of this ritual, if I ever purchased my initial pick after just browsing smokingpipes.com I'd be buying 20lbs a year (and I only smoke, what, 4?) Revised list: Epiphany Fox and Hound Billy Budd Izmir Turkish...

Almost time for new tobacco -- help?

I start looking at new stuff in November of each year, to buy it in January. That's the easiest way to buy tobacco I think, though it precludes trying just an ounce of something at a time and then buying more if I like it -- anyway this year I can probably let go of 500-750 for my tobacco...

    Got my Kiseru today

" 0.66 mm. I suspect this fine cut might be pretty close to what's traditionally used." - kinda, but I can't actually measure the stuff to say for sure. I think it is actually a bit thinner than that. Oh, also. I did finally get some Koiki (too until back in August though) and it is. . .quite...

US Courts Block Graphic Warnings on Cigarettes

Best part for me : "“While the line between the constitutionally permissible dissemination of factual information and the impermissible expropriation of a company’s advertising space for government advocacy can be frustratingly blurry," Now what a minute. .. I would bloody well think such...

If you were stuck on a desert island.....

Easy - Summer smoke and my Venietian Kaffeehause clay -- assuming someone provides me with a damn replacement cork for the stem/bowl connection. God I hope I can go the rest of my life without breaking 5 clay bowls. Say, it really is hard though isn't it? Clays last forever, meers next to it...

Confidence Can Make You do Dumb Things

That sounds like the same fucker that killed my PC over the summer! Bit of advice. . Do NOT delete the damn thing, at least not without oven mitts, rubber gloves, a Kevlar-and-steel vest and a condom -- it has a kill code that takes explorer with it -- and the rest of my post got truncated...

    Lucite stems

I have only one lucite stem, but I wouldn't call it bad. My most preferred system is a horn bit and the stem itself being bamboo -- but that's really hard to find. Next comes vulcanite which, to me, is just easier to clench, being softer. Then Lucite which is just a bit hard for my tastes...
