    First Cob

Count me in, I love the cob. I purchased one a while back and the collection is growing. I just like the way a cob feels light and somehow burns so easily.

    No More Vaping

Right everyone, me and the vape are through and I mean it. For a few years I have been vaping and not using the pipe now the vape can take a running jump. Not only does the vape taste like absolute crap it also helps you get so high on nicotine that in the end, you are also vaping more than...

    Colnel Henry Fraser

I have one of those Colonel Henry Fraser Lovat pipes. It says British Empire Made. Does anyone know when they stop stamping the empire on things? I'm guessing that the pipe is probably from the 30s...

Something I Once Saw That I Can No Longer Find That Helps Light a Pipe?

I've used the extra long fire lighting matches. They certainly last a good long time and give me a greater chance of lighting well. Although I do have a couple of lighters I prefer matches when I can get em.

    Barbers B Line

@Paul Yes that correct Paul they have been around for a long time. I only have one Dunhill as well and that was also from Barbers. They seem to have good bargains on offer and are really helpful. Take care Paul.

    Barbers B Line

Over here in the UK, I have used James Barber as a source of pipes for quite a few years. They have a nice selection. Going through my pipes I came across a Barbers B Line, this is a second. What an excellent pipe it is. Anyone else tried the B Line seconds. If you google James Barber they have...

Possible to ruin a pipe on first smoke?

Come to think of it all my pipes have gone through a sort of adjustment stage. Sometimes the poor smokers end up as really very good but it does take time for a pipe to adjust. Not experienced a burn out yet... I reckon gentle smoking is the way to go, even when a pipe has broken in. Gradually a...

How to store tobbaco for daily usage?

I tend to bung my tobacco in a canning jar, airtight type. We don't get much in tins here so the tobacco is often left in the packet and that is put in the jar. As far as how many bowls per pipe I think the secret is trying to smoke dry and resting the pipe a bit between smokes, that way you can...

    Clan

@Paul You've got me thinking. I have smoked a few packs of Troost in the past, another Scandinavian style tobacco. I enjoyed that one a lot !!

    Clan

Thanks, Paul. Yes, now that is maybe getting closer to the truth and the reason why Clan tends to stand out against other types. Clan does have roots in classical Netherlands Baai* style pipetobaccoes, brands like Oud HeerenBaai,Coopvaert, I haven't tried the tobaccos above but will happily put...
