    H.R. 2339

Unfortunately, I think that they will mean all pipe tobacco.

    H.R. 2339

I doubt that it will get passed by the Senate. If it does however, the President will most likely not veto it. He has a habit of just singing into law pretty much anything that the Senate puts in front of him.

    Esoterica Pembroke

Pembroke is my favorite Esoterica blend. My local B&M always has some left when the other Esoterica gets sold out. Lucky me!

Did You Know We Could Start Polls Now?

Polls are fun. They do perpetuate the cult of me, though.

Cellaring - What Do You Guys Do With All The Empty Tins?

I do the magnet thing on my wall behind my pipe racks. Looks way better than an empty wall.

    Defining Lakelands

So, just ordered some Grousemoor. Thought I would try a 'Lakeland' blend. But, I'm having trouble defining Lakelands, since I have seen so many definitions. What are your suggestions, favorites? Thanks!

    Great forum BUT...

Being a new member and all, maybe I'm not seeing the problem here. Can't other members just ignore posts that they don't like or agree with? Feeding trolls gets you eaten.-

The Name is Tobacco But You Can Call Me....

I have two pipe tobacco products with the word 'baccy' right on them. The first is an old glass tobacco humidor with 'baccy' on it. The second is a 'BaccyFlap', which is a handy little container for your pocket. As far as the term 'baccy', I use it all the time. Like when I say "git yure grubby...

    Any non smoking pipe collectors?

Much of the craft of the ideal pipe is how well it smokes. I wonder how many artisan pipe makers take that out of the equation knowing that their pipes might not ever get smoked.

BIG African Gourd Calabash, collector or smoker?

I love all three of my gourd calabashes, cleaning is not as difficult as it looks. I just use mineral oil where the residue coagulates in the gourd. Let it soak in, then just use an old toothbrush to get it clean. For the Meerschaum cap, just use fine sandpaper to keep a cake from building. Cheers!

I'm one of those lucky pipe smokers who can smell the room note. It's almost as good as tasting the smoke! :D

Possible Bad News For Latakia Lovers

The Pirate Kake that is a year old is still good. The very recent stuff is using the leftover Cyprian latakia, as far as I can tell.

Possible Bad News For Latakia Lovers

From what I can detect, the scrap latakia is in use in some of my favorite blends. For instance, the newer batch of Pirate Kake is not even half as good as the older stuff. It's really dry and twiggy. I could not even smoke a full bowl of it. Very disappointing. I hope the new stuff grown on...

Possible Bad News For Latakia Lovers

If Cyprian Latakia goes away, I will stop pipe smoking. All of my pipes and my meager cellar will go up for auction. Plain and simple.
