Peterson Pipe of the Year 2023

I own several Peterson pipes and that's normal for Peterson.

    Clark Layton Pipes

Does anybody know what happened to Clark Layton this year? He seams to have fallen of the face of the earth. His website is closed and he hasn't posted anything on Facebook since 2022. I don't know if he stopped making pipes and returned to his previous job. I really do think he is one of...

Good Way to Prepare GH flakes?

I prefer to rub GH flakes out in a bowl and let them dry out for a couple of days. Just a very small amount of moisture left, but not crispy dry. Really helps reduce relights and maintains an even/consistent burn. I then put the semi-dried-out loose tobacco in a jar to use when I want it.

    Gawith Hoggarth Drop

I find it has a smokey (like smoked meat) oily fermented musty tobacco taste with a small hint of Lakeland floral. Some find the nicotine a little on the stronger side. There is just something about its old world tobacco taste/smell that I really like.

Gawith &Hoggarth drop at smokingpipes.com. Picked up some Dark Flake Unscented.

    Is this crack a concern?

Nothing to fret about, looks like a little charring from breaking in the pipe. Perfectly normal, I wouldn't worry about it.

Who has Smoked Cornell and Diehl Anthology 1992-2022?

Well, Mc Clelland had that Mc Katsup smell, maybe C&D has that Mc Barnyard smell... on some of their blends.

Who has Smoked Cornell and Diehl Anthology 1992-2022?

Yes, when I first opened my tin, the tin smell reminded me of Bayou Morning. That same funky barnyard smell. After about a week or so in a jar, the funky barnyard smell has gone away and been replaced by a warm bready smell. The funky barnyard smell never goes away in Bayou Morning. Just the...

    Bayou Morning

Nice review! I agree, Bayou Morning is one of my favorite blends. In the top 5.

MacBaren's Royal Twist Returns on April 6th

From what I've read, they used honey as a binder instead of the usual maple sugar binder.

Just picked up a few tins. Thanks for the heads-up

    Rustica in a Calabash

Rustica has a very unique flavor. Kind of reminds me of a Drew Estates infused cigar. To me it has herbal tones, kind of like, but different, than an Acid cigar.

    Rustica in a Calabash

I wish I could say that my TAD ended there. I probably have enough tobacco to last me three lifetimes. All nicely organized and packed in appropriately labeled crates. That's my OCD kicking in.

    Luxury Navy Flake

Fantastic, love the stuff. Twisted flake is Fantastic also.

Sutliff Crumble Kake Barrel Aged Series No.2

I popped open my tin today. I get a general cinnamon flavor, a hint of clove, and a lot of sweetness on my first smoking.
