    I actually prefer the 'normal' Plum Pudding. The latakia content (or strength) is more more to my liking -- I can taste all the individual components, with some dominating the others as you work down the bowl.. All I can taste in the SR is the latakia.

    The two sweetest blend that I have tried, which are also readily available, are Deception Pass and Aj's Vaper. I don't think they have any casing. Both of them are also really good.

    Change is Good

    I'm also one of those who is gravitating from English blends to VaPers and Virginias. Still enjoy a good dose of Latakia now and then. You can't go wrong with Nightcap, Artisan's Blend or Plum Pudding...but nothing beats Beacon Extra, Scottish Cake or Escudo.

    Artisans is a little sweeter...Nightcap is a little stronger. These are two of my favorite blends. I prepared for the Dunhill apocalypse -- now it seems I need to prepare for the downfall of Artisan's Blend. Damn...when it rains, it pours.

    Well, according to that thread, K&K kinda-sorta admitted that they are now using Cyprian latakia...so if it is being discontinued, it seems that Syrian latakia is not the reason.
