    Not Another Devil Anse Pipe!

I have a Moonshine Devil Anse. Love it. Much shorter bowl than yours, but that's probably made mine affordable at the time.

    Tax Warning

I went large on some Rattray's 250g bags there a while back; I wonder if my letter will arrive next week. MI law seems to have been written with the intent to go after cigarettes (in 2005, MI imposed a tax of $2/pack, and so many people didn't want to pay it and sought cigs elsewhere; a pack of...

    Ribs Not Meant to Be

I once left the grill on low, indirect heat and forgot about them. Dried up meat and bones were not appreciated.

    First Ser Jacopo

They're turned the wrong way in that still. Nice pipe; impressive packaging!

    A. Fuente, 8=5=8 Maduro

Under $5 for the frugal shopper/searcher. That said, I can't find any Sarmale around here...

Alright, Serious Question of The Day: How Do You Like Your Eggs?

Cracked on the big end, of course.

    Boswell or Tinsky??

I assumed a Tinsky would be out of my price range. That's pretty reasonable for such a nice looking pipe.

How Does One Search This Site For Articles?

Woodsroad built a Google script that's very helpful: http://pipesmagazine.com/forums/topic/forum-search-improved

    Cancel membership

I'm kind of new here (still under 100 posts), but I'm having a hard time knowing/seeing how people are being rubbed the wrong way. These public goodbyes and the following IBTL posts are more uncommon than they appear to be. Say something stupid, get told you've said something stupid. Say...

    MM Carolina Gent Arrived

Nice pipe! I have a Dagner Cob/Poker. I really like it, and it's the only thing that's keeping me from ordering a Carolina Gent.

30th Birthday Haul. You Guys Decide What I Smoke First/What Gets Cellared!

I love Night Train more and more each year. Molasses and power. You might do a burley flight at some point: Carter Hall to ABF to NT. Each tobacco has a very distinct flavor, even though they're burley-based.

The Official Word on the Fate of Peterson Tobaccos

In July, a German blog predicted the end of 10 of Peterson's 17 tobacco lines. Panic ensued, and Peterson tobacco became OOS everywhere. Cue happy ending.

Former Lurkers, What Made You Step Into The Light?

Fourteen days had passed without an "Where Can I Find Esoterica?" and so I just had to jump in. Great community full of really reasonable people. It's hard to get the number of posts for Secret Santa/Buying/Selling if you don't have a lot to say. But great info here, and I wouldn't be on the...

    Dunhill - Durbar

How does it compare to White Knight and Presbyterian?

    Danish Pipe Shop Muzzled

I did not suggest that they not comply. In fact, if anything, I said the exact opposite.

    Dunhill - London Mixture

Pease's Westminster is based on the Murray blend of London Mixture, and I find it to be my favorite English. SmokingPipes has Dunhill's London Mixture in stock: You should buy all you can afford because WTGTG.

    Danish Pipe Shop Muzzled

What's most chilling is how quickly the Danish Pipe Shop has complied with all of these regulations in Denmark. You don't ask the gov't how high they'd like you to jump unless you know they will back up their laws with severe sanctions. There's a fine line between prudence and fear sometimes. I...

HU Tobacco blends in the Usa

I didn't get a PayPal option (the items I had [tobacco] weren't eligible for PP). How did you get it to work?

    Smoking 1792

I pull a flake apart into small quarter inch pieces and then gravity fill my pipe. Drying is essential. I don't think it's possible to get a Samuel Gawith blend bone dry, but the closer you can get it there, the better.

    PSA: Presbyterian 30% off

The German blend is different, though, more of an aromatic instead of an oriental fwd English like the American version.
