    Some pipes i have made

Thank you all again for such great response! "Hfearly": The horn wasn't that much more difficult to drill or shape than the rest, but it took a long time to get the symmetry right. "Rothnh": The pipes aren't huge, I would say about 5-6 inches long. I don't have a website yet, but that might...

I had two really bad experiences, that Borkum Riff burbon stuff, and Capstan original, I guess I was just smoking Capstan too fast, or is it really that high in N? Anyway I got really sick...

    Second pipe carving, opinions welcome

Thank you all for the nice comments. Atuukson: I will make some more pipes before considering to sell one, if I dont get any offer, I have to train a bit more :) I really feel like changing the stem now, I wonder if this is possible, the hole is 0.7mm wide, would a Danish style stem fit? Thanks!

    Old cob

I found this old corn cob in a shop, anyone knows how to date it? The stem seems to be made out of horn

    Second pipe carving, opinions welcome

Thanks!! Yes the stem do look a bit weak, but it was the one that came with the kit and I suppose it was intended for a smaller pipe. I would have liked to make a stem that had the shape of the shank but I dont really know where to get it or if you can fit another stem that wasnt made during the...

    Coloring a Mearshaum

Yesterday I tried to wax one of my estate meerschaums like explained here. It seemed to have been smoked a lot when I got it, and was covered with leather, although the color was almost completely white, except for the stem. After I finished waxing is it turned out like this, it now have a...

    Second pipe carving, opinions welcome

Ok, now it's done. The stem is still a bit out of angle and there are pits here and there, but my next one will be better :) I was surprised that it sits so well in the hand

    Second pipe carving, opinions welcome

Thank you for the good advice! I will try the brass wire wheel thing. My plan is to stain the top darker in the end. I have noticed the stem too, and I hope that it will be solved when I bend it in the end, otherwise I will have to find another solution :puffpipe:
