    Rattarys Exotic Orange

Just smoked my first bowl of EO from a Poul Winslow crown freehand. The opening of the tin was a very strong floral orange smell. Very pleased with the aroma. The charring light was sweet and airy. Once the bowl got going it was very consistent all the way to the bottom. The taste was like a...

Advice on Buying Meerschaum from Turkey

+1 jvnshr about not exchanging near the bazaars. I’m not sure but I think the airport may have fair exchange rates. Maybe jvnshr can help in this matter on where to get a better exchange rate.

Advice on Buying Meerschaum from Turkey

Not sure about Turkey but in most parts of the Middle East it is expected that you will haggle a price when buying goods. I have been to a few middle eastern countries and when shopping in a bazaar it is wise to haggle. If not the price you are given will usually be much higher than needed...

    Pipe Shape and Flavor

@Jaytex it did slip my mind about the cake build up in the Tinsky. The pipe is new and still building cake. I can say that some of the other Virginia’s I smoke in it taste wonderful. Great pipe and I will be purchasing another Tinsky soon. I will definitely have to hold off on smoking more of...

    Pipe Shape and Flavor

I never really noticed how much a pipe shape can effect the flavor of tobacco. Maybe a little here and there. I must say that I have finally experienced a full flavor change. When I first cracked open a 2006 tin of Hal O the Wynd I packed a bowl in my Radice Horn. It was amazing! Sweet and...

*** What Are You Smoking?*** (January 2018)

Just lit up a Radice Rusticated Horn with some 2002 Hal O the Wynd. My god it is so sweet! This is by far the most tasty smoke I have had thus far. I’m going to have to check if there is any more for sale! Well worth the 36$

    Help with dating a pipe...

This is one of the best reasons to be on this forum. Knowledge of pipes here makes it the google of pipe smoking! I knew I wouldn’t be the first to poke fun of the title either.

Pipe tobacco on a Cruise Ship?

I once took a cruise on Carnival. I believe it was the Valor and they had a room called the Church Hill room that was a cigar bar. All leather and very relaxing. Not sure you could smoke a pipe but if cigars were allowed I would imagine a pipe would quite alright.
