    Rattray's Bagpiper's Dream. Tin note was great, every time I try it again it still tastes like ammonia.

    Correct way of holding stem between teeth?

    When I first started smoking a pipe I never clenched either. I always held it in my hand. Now I find myself clenching about half the time and holding the other half. The one thing I have not been able to do that other people mention is work outside or do anything else while smoking my pipe...

    Whether I load a full bowl or a partial bowl, unless I am interrupted by some odd occurrence I smoke to the bottom.

    Colored Acrylic stems

    Is there a pipe maker known for colored acrylic stems? I really want a pipe with a blue or green stem with the white "smoke" in it. Having a hard time finding many pipes with the colored stem other than the the Savinelli Favorites. Any help or links would be appreciated!

    Well I got my sample in of this yesterday. The "tin" note is fantastic, you can really smell the chocolate/cocoa in it. I could not really detect any honey or cinnamon though. The tobacco is also very bright as you can see from the picture. Lots of blondes and light browns, very little dark...

    Made a list of a few more to try, thanks guys. @cortez Not grouping Grousemoor was just saying I like it and I "think" it is considered a Virginia. I think the reason I don't like them is the harshness I guess, kinda hot and bitey to use two of cortezattic's words.

    So, people rave about Virginia's and how much they love them, but not me. I know everyone is different but in general if you like the pipe I figure there is one blend out there of every type you might enjoy. Maybe Virginia's are like beer to my palate. I have tried almost 350 different beers...

    Guess we will have to disagree. If you are careful with the Spinosad you should have little impact. I plant lots of pollenator attractors and have plenty of bees every year. In general since tomatoes and peppers make very little pollen bees will go to my cucumbers and zukes and salvia etc.

    I use BT and Spinosad both, which is what seanz linked to above. I grow a lot of tomatoes and peppers and since I have been using BT on them my worm and other insect problems have gone away. The soapy water and neem oil never worked for me. A word of warning though, the BT shouldn't harm most...

    Samuel Gawith Black XX Rope...good/bad?

    I bought some awhile back and I am not a big fan. It seemed almost flavorless to me. It did have a nice nicotine kick, but no taste on my palate at least. I have been meaning to add some of the brown rope to my next order.

    Talk about Fast! Penzance.....

    Never saw the thread pop back up again. I really like Penzance, I am smoking it with my morning coffee on most days now. On a side note, I have sent 6 packages of samples(hope they get 3 or 4 bowls out of what I sent) out to people so I am all out to share at the moment.
