    The Psychology Of Cellaring

I smoke pipes, I buy tobacco, I cellar tobacco. Why? Well when you start paying my bills then I'll answer you, just kidding. There is no deep underlying psychological reason for my actions, just simple enjoyment.

    PAD and TAD Strike Simultaneously

Yeah, I suppose your right Tom, heh. Well after this nice smoke, my mind is more at ease, and can you really put a price on a peace of mind? At least that's what I'll ask the Misses when she will undoubtedly raise an eyebrow when this package comes in, heh.

    PAD and TAD Strike Simultaneously

Well just placed a rather ridiculous order that took advantage of P&C's buy 2 get one free and there 20% promo discount. The frugal part of my mind is still spinning. Nothing like being both excited and at the same time thinking "What have you done!?". Ah well, time to look at it all as an...

A suprise! A tin forgotten and found a year later

It's usually my winter coat where I find loose cash. Newbroom, I hear ya, I generally have a memory of steel, nothing gets out...nothing gets in either, heh. Now I wonder what I'll find a year from now...

A suprise! A tin forgotten and found a year later

Well, I just made it to my two day stretch off from work. Halfway through my shift this evening, I found my mind wondering "What am I going to smoke? Elizabethan? No, not tonight, hmmm, what about Bold Kentucky, mmmm that sounds nice, but I don't know. There always the HH Vintage Syrian I have...

    Samuel Gawith Black XX Twist

Thanks ChasingEmbers, never done a cube cut method and just read up on it elsewhere in the forums. As for the rub out method, it's a mixture of partial success. I'm thinking the next day I have off will be a good time to tackle it again, until then it will be Escudo or Bold Kentucky for me...

    Samuel Gawith Black XX Twist

Fourth bowl was met with more success, this time I unravelled the leaf from the the twist to let it dry. At first it didnt want to stay lit but by the second third of the bowl and it was alot more cooperative.

    Samuel Gawith Black XX Twist

This is a tobacco that has been a challenge for me. Ive made three attempts now at trying to smoke it. The first one, I was much too eager and smoked it from the tin, only to discover the I may as well kept my lighter on it to smoke. The second time, was not much better and I again was too...

    Dunhill Elizabethan Mixture Tobacco Review

I'll cast my opinion along side codecreatively. EM is a blend that I always want on hand. So much so that I have dedicated a single pipe to it, not for its complexity, but more so that it is a blend that is very special to me. Its funny how a tin can carry so much weight on ones life, long...

    Sandblast or Rustication?

I'd say my preference is about 50/50, I like 'em equally. A Savinelli rustication or a Stanwell sandblast seem to be weaknesses of mine. Not many smooth finishes in my rotation, two actually. However I think the Qandale 602 smooth finish is my sharpest looking pipe. Heh
