It is a tan shell not dark , but i think the adhesive was dark. Ive been through 40 qtips already soaked in everclear.- tiberiusjones

yes its a silver mount and I do remove it from time to time, just cant push it all the way through. But I guess its comforting to know its by design and not a defect. Thanks.- tiberiusjones

I just bought a marvelous 20FP and its a great smoker. Only thing is I can t seem to pass a pipe cleaner through the stem, even if I unscrew the aluminum condersor it wont go through. My father will turn 80 next year, other than a slow growing prostate cancer , he is rather healthy and his mind is sharp. Petersen gurgle issue.
Tokerpipes, in my experience with Pestersons, I have owned quite a few, that with the Systems, if you tilt the thing, the reservoir can spill over into the smoke hole causing the gurgling.
