Asking for opinion/additional info on this pipe

Hello everybody, I have just "won" a bidding for this used Peterson's Deluxe 11S at an online site. I haven't received the pipe yet, but I have some detailed photos from the seller - see below. The marking on the pipe says "Peterson's Deluxe Special" 11S, and it has a golden band. (there seems...

Thank you for all your inputs - I have decided to go for it, after all. tarak - as for ordering from Hungary, I FULLY understand (and completely agree with) your reservations - this item will be actually paid for and picked up by a relative who lives in Hungary, and I will take it from her this...

Q: Is a used Savinelli Roma 316 KS (in good shape) worth USD 43 (CAD 56)?

It can be seen here: [url=http://gyujtemeny.vatera.hu/dohanyipari_termek_kellek/pipa/roma_pipa_2101857182.html]null (The listing is in Hungarian, but the photos speak for themselves). P.S.: I wish to clarify that the addressing form "Gentlemen" in my original post was meant to be gender-neutral.

Q: Is a used Savinelli Roma 316 KS (in good shape) worth USD 43 (CAD 56)?

Gentlemen, I have the question in the topic line. The pipe looks in a very good shape. Would it be a good deal to pay USD 43 (CAD 56) for it? Thank you for any input in advance! csibuk

    African Meer Question

    1-Q vs BCA

ray47, that is exactly what I have been doing - and I am also very happy with the result. That 1Q+BCA mix is great! (Also, BCA is excellent for "taming" some harsher tobaccos)

Here I am, for one! (Does a Canuck boy count? - My other car is an ATV and there is mud on my rubber boots...) :D Las

Got my first Meerschaum - what do you think?

Warren, I do think I got a good deal - I paid $15 for the pipe (including two carved stone ashtrays with Tanzanian motifs) and I am very happy with how it smokes. (I also like the coloration of the pipe.) Thank you for all the input! Las

Got my first Meerschaum - what do you think?

Hi all, Yesterday I picked up my first Meerschaum - an estate pipe that has apparently been treated properly (based on the nice coloration and the fact that it was very clean and had absolutely no smell whatsoever. It must have been quite some time ago when it was last smoked.) It is a Tanzanian...
