    Mo Meer Country Gentleman/Chestnut

Thanks all! I've played around on P&C Blend Your Own and I think I may have a winner. I'm waiting for it to ship.

    Mo Meer Country Gentleman/Chestnut

I eyeballed a mix of MO Meerschuam Country Gentleman tabac with some Chestnut 50/50. Great smoke. Going to weigh some out and see what I can get. Favorite home mixes?

Dr. Grabow Viking and Yello-Bole Checker (pic heavy)

Nice set tuold. I have them all cleaned up and resting. I intend to take photos this weekend and post them here. That Senior reamer didn't do as well as I had hoped. It looked promising, but failed to deliver. Perhaps I'll give it another try after some Youtube education.

Opening, splitting and jarring 100gr tins

Finally seacaptain. Good to know I'm doing something right.

Opening, splitting and jarring 100gr tins

I purchase lots (LOTS) of new tobaccos that I want to try. I do exactly that. I open them, cellar half in small, labeled mason jars and then put the rest in older jars to smoke at my leisure. I have about 20+ various choices to chose from. If upon the split I don't like it, I cram it into...

Standby to standby. I know that.

Dr. Grabow Viking and Yello-Bole Checker (pic heavy)

Noted. I dumped, cleaned out the salt, and noticed that not all the salt was the top color. I think I need to add salt/dash of Everclear. Add salt/dash of Everclear. Then let it rest once it's full. Also, cannot remove the pipe cleaner from the Yello-Bole. Gonna soak it when I get home to melt...

Dr. Grabow Viking and Yello-Bole Checker (pic heavy)

~~ Anyone recommend dumping and starting the salt/Everclear over at this point or just leaving it for another day, cleaning, and eventually smoking them after a two-three day rest? Day Two progress:

Do you Cellar or just Smoke?

I take interest in those who just smoke. Find a favorite and maybe purchase one similar at some point down the line. I think my Uncle Jim was a lot like that. I picture it was just him and Prince Albert or Sir Walter Raleigh. No room or need to expound. I'm a calculated adventurer and that...

Do you Cellar or just Smoke?

I just came to question - does cellaring tobacco come with the hobby or do you just smoke your favorites?

Dr. Grabow Viking and Yello-Bole Checker (pic heavy)

I found both at a junk shop in SE Minnesota for $6 each. I have never restored an estate pipe, but I think they were a good find - especially for the price. I will be updating with more photos as it progresses. Need to get a reamer and put some more elbow grease into getting those stems cleaned...

    What are You Reading?

Visiting Tom by Michael Perry. All of his books are worth a quick read.

    Show Off Your Cellar/Stash Here!

For fear of starting a new thread, as I've seen many on the subject, I thought I would finally get my shit together and properly label, inventory (tobaccocellar.com), and show off what I've amassed in a few short months. First is where I spend my time prepping the smoke and enjoying my hobby -...

    Beginner Virginia or VaPerRecommendations?

Smoke what you like, but like what you smoke. All great options, but you won't truly know until you try because tastes in tobacco are even more varied than food I've found. I'm a strong retro-haler and I have only found Hearth & Home Signature Anniversary Kake to be the kindest and tastiest...

P&C Customer Apreciation and Goodie Box

Nice. Thanks for sharing. Decent pipe and lighter? Stogies look good?

Newminster Round Slices Versus PS Luxury Bulls Eye Flake

Figures - goes on sale the day after I purchase more for cellaring.

    Some Welcome Lighthearted News

Great move daimyo. Way to spread the piping cheer and helping a fellow quit the nails for good. However, I'm not going to go as far as positioning pipe smoking as the next vape wave. I'd rather keep pipe tobacco where it's at in cost. Living in Minnesota, the "sin tax" is high enough as it is...

    Christmas Cheer 2015

Cracked open the 2015 (my first being new to the hobby). I let it dry out for a day and after having a few bowls I have to say - I find it harsh in the beginning but it gets glorious from mid-finish. I'm a retro-haler and enjoy smokes that allow such. CC is no such smoke in the beginning. I'm...
