I'm Bloody Livid: Amazon Refuse to Sell Me a Set of Kitchen Knives.

You can find all sorts of different Santa's Sleigh License by searching the internet. I bought mind when I officially became Santa about seven years ago. I also have a red license & badge holder. Mine are in storage at the moment or I would post a photo.

I'm Bloody Livid: Amazon Refuse to Sell Me a Set of Kitchen Knives.

I'm 71 years old. I have a white beard. There is NO mistaking be for a 20 year old man. I went into a store to get a bottle of rum the cashier that asked for my ID. Another cashier was watching this and rolled his eyes. After looking at the cashier like she is really stupid, I pulled out my...

I'm Bloody Livid: Amazon Refuse to Sell Me a Set of Kitchen Knives.

That reminds me of the time I was traveling on military orders which required me to get to a location and remain overnight at a local hotel. The first hotel I tried, the desk clerk wouldn't allow me to check-in because I was under the age of 26. She refused even when I showed her that I was...

    J.R.R Tolkien ...

Now that is fair criticism. I've found that their are a number of "great" writers that I don't enjoy reading. I personally had a hard time reading Stephen King.

Peterson Mark Twain - To Smoke or Not Smoke

In my opinion, buying a pipe and not smoking it is about the same as buying a car and not driving it.

    A Stark Warning

After smoking and while the pipe is still warm I will insert a pipe cleaner and wipe the bowl out with a tissue. I don't remove the stem for cleaning until I'm ready to smoke that pipe again.

    J.R.R Tolkien ...

As much as I enjoy the LOTR books, I was already in my 20s and smoking a pipe before I discovered Tolkein and his books. In fact, I discovered the Bakshi and his animated movies "Fritz the Cat", "Wizards" and "The Hobbit" before I read Tolkein's books.

I Just Got a Court Summons......For Jury Duty.

Got called once for jury duty over 10 years ago. Actually got seated for a drug possession with intent to distribute case. Told the judge I was retired Coast Guard and that I had been involved with a number of drug interdiction operations. I still got selected. The judge decided to send us to...

    Breath Method

I used the breath method when participating in long smoke competitions. I won twice and finished in the top five three other times. I haven't done any competitions in four or five years but I still use the method when smoking my pipes. I find it makes for longer, more enjoyable smokes.

    Greetings From South Texas

San Antonio? I thought you said South Texas. Joking. I'm from the Beaumont/Port Arthur area originally. We think South Texas is close to the Gulf and not in the middle of dry land.

    Most Unique Blends

The most unique I've found has to be The Untouchables (a collaboration from DTM, HU & Michael Apitz) that I found when I made my first order from Estervals two or three years ago. It's the only blend i've come across with Cedar/Rose Geranium flavoring. I bought 10 tins last year and I have five...

    Roast Beef Sammich Heaven

When I was stationed across the river from Philadelpia I fell in love with good cheesesteak sandwiches. I asked the butcher in this one store what roast they used. He said the best shops used a boneless ribeye for their sandwiches. That being said, the absolute best roast beef sandwiches I have...

    Anyone Recognize this Pipe?

Over the years I have seen a number of "bull" pipes like that in various antique malls around the south. Either that are there is just one pipe and it travels from antique mall to antique mall. I personally never have had the urge to buy one.

    Meerschaum Coloring End Game

All i know is I don't smoke my meers even close to getting that type of colorization. At best one of them has achieved a mottled cream color.

    Swan Neck Indulgence

And it is has a place in my weekly rotation because it an enjoyable smoke. I will admit that I haven't smoked it using a "inner tube" because it didn't come with one.

Recent Purchase Unusual BBB Pipe 1892

This was explained to me by a real antique dealer (as opposed to one who one who runs an antique mall, which is just a step up from a flea market.) He said that it was common for companies to order hundreds of silver fittings at a time and then wait until they had used most of them before...

Recent Purchase Unusual BBB Pipe 1892

Interesting pipe and find. I have a Salmon & Gluckstein with a silver band hallmarked for 1896 but the pipe could have been made as late as 1915. I smoked it one time and decided to not risk smoking again because of how hot it got.

    New Peterson Fermoy B10

Nice looking pipe. My wife gave me a Fermoy 80s as a birthday present five years ago. You don't read much about the Fermoy line but I like it. It's in my 14 pipe rotation
