How can I be loosing my taste for Latakia? Has anyone else had this experience?

I've certainly had a similar experience of liking Lat but then gravitating towards vapers and Lakeland blends. I wouldn't be too quick though. It may not be as straight forward as embers suggests. Your tastes may shift again and you'll appreciate Lat blends again although with perhaps a more...

    Recommend A Restorer

I'm looking for someone who is a good tester for an old dunhill. I've seen lots of nice examples of restoration on the site but must seem to do it themselves. Any recommendations on good restorers who I can send a pipe to? Good experiences? Established names?

    Your favorite GL Pease blend?

Do we know if GLP has said anything about how the new FDA stuff is likely to affect him? I'd hate to see his blends disappear.

I always gravitate back to Castello. Classic design and excellent smoking construction. Enjoy your 55.

    Tobacco Exclusive To The UK

So I managed to wangle bringing a bit more back than I thought and this ended up being my score. Haven't started on any of this yet but looking forward to trying it out especially the RDF and the St Bruno. Thanks to those who advised.

Can you guess from my screen name what I prefer? I'm probably just a klutz or something but i definitely feel i get a better light and better flavour with matches. I think with a flame lighter I end up overheating the tobacco. Only issue is lighting outside which is only place I smoke.

    Which Would You Choose?

So, having purchased several pipes in a flurry at the end of last year I'm left with some financial triage to perform. Five pipes purchased. All of which I'd like to keep but probably three or four of which I'll have to pass on to someone else. Two questions to you all: if you could keep one...

    Whiskey & pipe smoking.

I'm a fan of Islay malts and Latakia blends. But together might be a bit much. I'm working my way through a bottle of Uigeadail at the moment with great pleasure.

    Aromatic Haters Top 5 Aromatics

On Lakelands vs aros. I do think the analogy of condiments with food is helpful. Lakelands imho are tobaccos with condiment all flavours. To my mind it blends and enhances. Most aromatics seem to me to be for smoking when you don't like the taste of tobacco or are trying to please those who are...

I guess I'm one of the weird ones...

When I saw the title my first thought was Lakeland. I love g and h stuff. Especially Conniston cut plug. I think it helps being a Brit as when I smell Ennerdale I think Indian rice pudding or sweets rather than old lady.

    Fetishism

I suppose the equivalent is hoarding tobacco and buying expensive pipes but smoking very little. I imagine that's a reality for some.
