    You Shall Not Pass!

I thought this was going to be a thread about not being able to pass a pipe cleaner through an airway :-) Anyhoo, some people suck.

    Dog Alert

Thanks Don! I've been stocking up. It's been in stock at Cup O'Joes for a couple of days now too. A bit more expensive there though and with a five pouch limit.

Found A Comoy's Over The Weekend

It took me a while to get to this one. It was a simple oxidation removal. Unfortunately and as expected, the painted C on the stem disappeared with a few strokes of sandpaper. Otherwise, it's ready for some baccy.

    Stumels and stems for practice

That's an interesting tool that I've never seen before. I'd like to know how it works out if you try it.

    Stumels and stems for practice

You're very welcome. Along with the chucking reamers, (both an A-Z set and a fractional set will cover most of the bases) a pin gauge set is essential. I have a .061"-.250" set and a .251"-.500" set as well. A good set of calipers to go along with all that will tie the whole thing together. All...

    Stumels and stems for practice

You might get away from PAD for a while but it sounds like you're in for a new kind of TAD. Tool acquisition disorder is a whole other world. Here's where you want to get your files from. You can use the search or filters to find exactly what you want...

    Very Sad News

Oh, damn. Unfortunately, I never knew him personally but it was an honor to read his thoughts on the forums. RIP.

Official Thrift / Junk / Antique Store Find Thread

This is a neat thread. I found an old Westinghouse box fan. It's probably from the late 50's, all steel construction and still runs smooth. The motor is on mounts. Kind of like a car engine is on motor mounts in order to reduce vibration. This fan has a reversible motor with a low and high...

Latest Antique and Junk Shop Finds

Wow! Congratulations pap! That is a truly traditional pipe smokers collection you found. The craggy blast on your pipe is great! The jester / elf plug cutter looks like he's thumbing his nose at the FDA and ready to give 100+ more years of service. I love it! The little tobacco jar is...

My Twisted Opinion of Glamour Shots.

Can tell that's a good smoker. I dig it.

Found A Comoy's Over The Weekend

Thank you all. I'm in the middle of a move and all my pipe repair tools are already at the new place, which is four hours away. Once I get it set up to rock and roll I'll get all that oxidation off of the stem. Will put up pics after she's waxed and prettied up :puffy:

Found A Comoy's Over The Weekend

Thanks! I actually got into my car to leave the store before I thought better of leaving this puppy behind with a price tag of a hot $9. I'm getting ready to smoke it through it's first of many break in paces of Five Brothers. 90's era you say? Very glad I picked it up. The grain is easy on the...

Found A Comoy's Over The Weekend

Hello everyone. I had some time to kill last Friday so I dropped into an antique shop and found this Comoy's. I was very inexpensive. Looks like a painted on C. Nice prince shape and it looks like it was smoked only a few times. Here's all the stamping: There is also this "E" stamped on...

Fly-fishing And No Need To Catch A Fish

The technology of yesterday's gear (five to ten years old) can be purchased today brand new for very reasonable prices. Reddington Crosswater or Path combos (rod and reel) $99 to $170 theses days. It's not the best gear but it's by no means garbage. Throw some better quality line on a set up...

Fly-fishing And No Need To Catch A Fish

Fly fishing is one of the things I live for. I was also out today. Found a small mountain creek close to home here in eastern pa. I dipped my bug net in the water, pulled out a green caddis larvae and a light brown colored stone fly nymph. I watched the brookies dart around in the water. Didn't...

Peak Irony: Old Codger Johnny Rotten Says, "Get Off My Lawn"!!!

This might be the last nail in the coffin. Punk is officially dead and Johnny Rotten killed it. Punks world-wide are now on notice to reassess their values of antiestablishmentarianism. Hurts my heart.

Replacing a Flared Asymmetric Saddle Stem (video set)

Watching that whole tape scuffing procedure you did to protect the shank while shaping the stem on a French Wheel was an emotional rollercoaster ride! You're some kind of pipe wizard George! Words are inadequate. :worship:

P&C 25% Code Works for PipeTobacco

More tobacco on the way and it's the first day of trout season in my part of the world here in Pennsylvania. I can't think of a better way to start off an early Sunday morning. Thanks for the heads up!

    P&C has Esoterica

I went against my better judgement too and ordered a bag of Dunbar an hour after I found out P&C had Esoterica in. To get free shipping I added 2 lbs. of LBF (which they have in stock at a very nice price right now :puffpipe: ) to my order. I checked on the status of the order this morning to...
