    Let’s talk about Boswell’s Northwoods

So I AM a wilderness professional. But sometimes I have to have a gentle reminder about what being Out There is about. northwoods is an English blend with some Virginia body and a bit of spice. no bite, clean to smoke. A toasted quality, smoky. This blend is representing my beloved eastern...

Bob, probably played some music with most of those crackheads… lots of people in the recovery community in Lancaster. I grew up nearer to Philly where we Do Not put tomato sauce on cheesesteaks like those savages from Pittsburgh

By the way, thanks everyone for your support on this issue! I know the real solution is ‘buy more pipes’ but this one is special because it somehow survived the AT just like I somehow survived the AT

    Smoking on the Appalachian Trail

So this past September, wow that long ago? I finished my thru hike of the Appalachian Trail. All 2,190.1 miles of it, but who's counting? I can likely say I was one of the few pipe smokers on the AT!. Started with some Boswell tabac from PA, and up in Gaitlinsburg resupplied with the No Locals...

Thanks man. I didn’t spend a lot for this pipe, but it was the first Briar I have owned and logged quite a few miles with me. Already talking to someone about repair from this thread. but thanks for your thoughts and hope for rescuing the pipe. I packed a bowl of some local blend I picked up...

    Pipe Rotation

Hate to say this, but I think I cracked the stem on my favorite pipe simply from overuse. I had just gotten started on the AT, Appalachian Trail, when I got started smoking a pipe, and brought about an ounce of tobacco, resupply on that was on occasion, so a bowl was a once a week ‘ish’ thing...

So BTW, smoking a lot of Northwoods from Boswell, and I when backpacking carry a cob pike or two so I can share tobacco over the campfire.

Surprisingly it was when I got home it developed a problem and recent. We have gone through a wet spell in NC on trail… mostly carried disassembled? I was surprised, honestly, to get this issue as the pipe really put up with a lot. Disassembled, assembled, just in a bag and through wrath, wreck...
