Not Sure If This Is Where This Belongs.

I can't imagine a customs broker having trouble figuring out a customs form. Isn't that their job?

    The (Un)Official Secret Santa 2019!

Still a little bit of time to get packages out for those that haven't already. For those that have, plenty of time for that package to get lost in the system.

    Bertram Rhodesian/Bulldog Restoration

Hoppes, that bottom one is definately the same shape as mine. What grade is that? As for the 'S' stamp, I have no idea. Mine doesn't have anything like that one there. Were you able to narrow down any production dates at all? Very nice collection by the way. I hope mine cleans up half as nice...

A shot of the store front in less fortunate times. I'm guessing this is late 70s or early 80s by the car to the left.

I stand on the shoulders of giants. The December sun is not co-operating, but you might be able to catch a little of the sparkle here:

    Bertram Rhodesian/Bulldog Restoration

Thanks guys. The colouring is very faded on one side, I'm not sure if that comes through in the pictures or not. But I just did a little dab of water on there and the grain really popped - I can't wait to see how it is when it is all cleaned up, oiled, and polished.

I picked up this pipe because I loved the shape, and then read up on some history of Bertram and thought it was an interesting historical piece. The pipedia page says that Bertram was known as the 'Nation's Pipemaker' based out of Washington DC. They started in 1927, and supplied pipes to many...

    GBD (Irwin) 9491 Restoration Project

Thanks everyone. If the clouds clear up today I can take some better pictures. The stain / mineral oil / polish really make the colouring shine. It has a warm tone to it that is really nice. Yes the channel at the bit was a bit difficult! Folding the micromesh pad helps it get into the nooks...

    The (Un)Official Secret Santa 2019!

I didn't think there would be so much wrapping anxiety associated with this Secret Santa. Maybe Dan should update the rules for next year?

    GBD (Irwin) 9491 Restoration Project

Stem is done, and this is the best I could do on the stem logo. The stamping was very thin to begin with, so I'm going to stick to that story! Magic eraser, micromesh, Plast-X polish, mineral oil, and chap stick. I should add that a soft flame got rid of the deeper teeth marks.

Thanks, the 'mix' caught my eye when I was browsing pipes to clean up. This one might just stay on my rack.

    Burley/Virginia

I'm starting my morning with a cup of coffee and checking emails. Good news fellas, I just won a massive financial settlement in Nigeria. Looks like I am $189m richer this morning!
