Any of them. The hand made stamp was only used for a short time in the early seventies. Another thing is Epoca’s rarely had a size designation. And always keep in mind that Castello’s nomenclature is very inconsistent.

It looks like it has a big K with no hand made stamp so it say between mid seventies and the early eighties. This is one of the few Epoca’s I’ve seen without the C.S. and the Carlo Scotti signature stamps.

I looked over my Shape 15’s including the Epoca’s with stick bits and none have a straw size stamp. The restricted draw was Carlo Scotti thing. He thought it improved the flavor I think. I posted a backlit picture of a colored stem on page three of the Show Us Your Castello thread that shows...

Thanks! I built the collection to be displayed at shows and was a lot of fun to show it off in KC. Since that show in 2015 the collection has gotten larger and I think a very unique piece that I’m very excited about was added today!

Those two dimples in the slot and the way the edges of the stick are rounded look Castello to me. I collect Epoca’s and would love to see the pipe!

I’d guess it’s from the late 70’s, early 80’s. It looks like a shape 215 but I’d need a straight on mugshot to say for sure. I have a Relax in the 215 shape but it’s not as “Relaxed” as yours. I alway wondered why mine is marked Relax as it’s a pretty standard 215.

Vernon Vig shared a story with me years ago about when he was doing some work for Porsche. He said Butzi Porsche who designed the 911 and was an all day pipe smoker told him the he designed the pipe for himself. The original pipes were made in Germany by Oldenkott and later in Holland by Big Ben
