    Does Grain/Orientation Actually Matter?

Cheers. 👍 However this pipe is advertised as 'straight' grain and to my eye could be flame grain? https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/peterson-straight-grain-pipe-amazing-1812642189

Tobaccos that are Staples in Your Cellar

What Is Your Standard For Deep Cleaning A Tobacco Pipe?

Judging by what I've read so far I'm verging on becoming a ''slob''. My idea of a deep cleaning is dipping a pipe cleaner in whisky or rum and running it through once in a blue moon. I do my best to keep the inside of the bowl free of too much cake and the rim as clean as possible. Normal pipe...

Which Country Consistently makes the Best Pipes?

No point in me giving an opinion as all bar one of my pipes are English. I personally tend to be attracted more to English estate pipes than 'foreign' ones. For no other reason than being more familiar with the pipe makers brand names.

What Smoking Minutiae have You Picked Up On?

Me too. When I was a young pipe smoker I worried too much if I was doing it right especially amongst older pipe smokers. My old hiking and biking mate who was a Condor and Falcon smoker told me just to enjoy it.

What tobacco can replace SG FVF?

Although it's a broken flake I find Amphora Virginia a good replacement for FVF. Molly thinks so too!!
