How Large is Your Pipe Collection in Proportion to How Much You Smoke?

That sounds very similar to my ratio of pipes to number of smokes except that your pipe collection and smokes are about 10 times mine.

How Large is Your Pipe Collection in Proportion to How Much You Smoke?

I think that is the common theme here. Isn’t that what we are on this forum: to justify the disproportionate amount of pipes?

Do Lakeland Blends Ghost Each Other?

What does the clay do for the flavour? I have been thinking about getting a couple of Dutch long stemmed clay pipes, but don’t think it’s worth it for just the 4 bowls or so that the sample is good for.

Who’s that guy? Me or the ruminations of BriarLee? 😂

How Large is Your Pipe Collection in Proportion to How Much You Smoke?

Thanks for the responses. I was hoping to find some scientific truth, but as always it’s great to see such diversity in this group of people. I guess because my tastes have somewhat shifted towards higher end pipes, and I don’t really smoke that often, I personally feel better when I have less...

How Large is Your Pipe Collection in Proportion to How Much You Smoke?

You must have a lot of pipes and smoke a lot to have that many significant figures…

How Large is Your Pipe Collection in Proportion to How Much You Smoke?

I have settled on 10 or so pipes that I really like and smoke regularly enough. I smoke on average about once a week, so about 50 bowls per year. That means that each pipe gets used on average 5 times per year. How does your pipe collection relate to how much you smoke? How many runs does each...

Do Lakeland Blends Ghost Each Other?

I’ve got three cobs so I might as well keep them separate.

Do Lakeland Blends Ghost Each Other?

Thanks, I might dedicate a cob to each until I figure out that I like them.

***What Are You Smoking, September 2021?***

I dried out a bit to much tobacco so my Stanwell 124 came out to play as well.

Gearing up for a smoke and a drink after a long day at work. Amphora Full Aroma in my H Wiebe radiator pipe with the Bones stack bowl.

Do Lakeland Blends Ghost Each Other?

I’m excited to have samples on the way for Ennerdale, 1792 and Grousemoor to try some of the famous Lakeland blends. While all 3 are Lakeland blends, they are meant to be quite different from each other flavour wise. Would you smoke these blends out of the one dedicated pipe for Lakelands or...

    WAYS Pics

I normally like to take a photo before lighting up. I always prepare my pipe in the kitchen before heading outside which is why I almost always shoot my photo in front of my coffee machine. Occasionally I will take a photo while sitting outside if the light permits it, and I have on occasion...

    Yes or No?

Ever since tasting a craft beer with banana notes I have been searching for other beers with a similar flavour profile. It is present in Belgium white ales like Hoegaarden.

    Yes or No?

I’m happy to go half’s for the sake of science. The more data points the better.

    Yes or No?

Yes! And it is delicious, both the smell and the taste. I warm it up in the oven to dry before smoking and it gets this toasted sweet bread smell. I also get the Juicy Fruit gum quite strongly at times when smoking.
