I'm in the C camp, but I definitely prefer to clench bent pipes over straight ones. So I swap about a bit depending on which pipe I'm using. If I want to slow down due to possible bite then I definitely clench less.

Number two for me in both selections. Not such a fan of angular. After you posted the other thread IMP vs Altinay I had a look through and narrowed down my own selection roughly to those three Altinays. Nice eye. 👍

I flit around from blend to blend like a newly hatched butterfly. Maybe one day I’ll settle on something permanently but maybe not. Will just have to see what happens.

I had seen that hence why I was asking for alternatives or blends that are similar. It's one that always seems to get positive reports so I was hoping for something similar. 👍

OGS seems to be a blend that a lot of folks round here extoll the virtues of. I can’t get it in the UK at the moment it seems. wondering if there are suggestions of alternatives that provide similar satisfaction?

I smoke whatever I feel like in whichever pipe I fancy. I only have 4 pipes and really enjoy Lakeland so the ghosting (not sure I smoke enough or have a sophisticated enough palate to tell...) doesn’t bother me.

Today was too cold. 🥶 wind chill got me. It’s usually the wet though so all clouds.... (have snowy linings at the moment)

Only one major pipe related hope for me... Somewhere comfortable to sit and smoke. Banished outside (fair enough with two small children) and really need to sort a comfy (and warm...) setup. I’m fed up of standing. There are also a lot of US tobaccos I fancy trying but can’t get here the UK...

I’m 34 and only started a couple of years ago. I do get the odd look from some folk, and a wry smile from others. But if you worry too much about what everyone else thinks then you wouldn’t do much. I very much enjoy smoking a pipe and damn everyone else. 🤣
