    Iwan Ries Fans!

I just wanted to put a post up letting people know that on Ebay their is a 1970 catalog from the infamous Chicago b&m Iwan Ries for sale. If you just do a search on Ebay for Iwan Ries it should pop up. The auction says it has colored photographs. It's a cool piece of history for someone out there.

Going to Chicago - Best Places/Experiences

I am driving to Chicago from East Tennessee in a couple of weeks for a wedding. I will be there for a long weekend. Where should I go? Restaurants, tobacco shops, etc. Deep dish pizza is a must by the way.

Anyone know how to dry out tobacco

I have a tin of peterson's sherlock holmes and it just won't stay lit and is a little to damp. I live in a humid area and just sitting it out isn't helping. Any ideas?

    First Pipe rack I Built

Jig saw, scrap wood, stain, polyurethane spray, steel wool, 12 screws, measuring tape, pencil, square, a drill with various drill bits, staple gun and staples, green cloth, adhesive, a little hard work and this is what you get. I know it isn’t super nice but it meets my needs.

I am wanting to buff out stems and bowls. Anything cheap. I have seen people use close angle drills with a vise grip. Any ideas? Also does it have to stay under a certain RPMs?

Pipe Bits - Do they work?

I am thinking about picking up a couple to protect my pipe stems. Does anyone know if they work good or can suggest a place to pick them up?

Anyone else collect and/or listen to vinyl records?

The reason I am asking is because I listen to my collection a lot and it's usually accompanied by my pipe or a cigar. Something about the physical element of vinyl is lost with cds or mp3s. When I pull out a record and the needle hits it I feel more connected to the artist than with a cd or...

    Anyone in East Tennessee?

Are there any good pipe shops, clubs, tobacco manufacturers, etc out here. I am smack dab in between Chattanooga and Knoxville. The only stores, I am aware of, that are half way decent are Leaf and Ale in Knoxville and a shop in Gatlinburg called The Gatlinburlier.

    Anyone know this brand?

I have my eye on a estate pipe that is a churchwarden and has the logo BRK with a circle around the letters. Anyone know if this is a good brand or just any general info?
