***What Are You Smoking, August 2024?***

Brookfield No. 1 in my Altinay. Trying out some cheap tobaccos, this one isn't bad. The pipe is starting to get some character. I have smoked around 50 bowls in it now.

    Show Us Your Ashton Pipes

My first Ashton. I've been on the lookout for a Brindle with silver that fit my taste (and budget) for quite a while. Ended up getting this one for a good price.

Thanks! Yes, just regular sandblast. The other side doesn't have ring blast like that so it couldn't be PSB I guess. I got lucky with that blast. :)

Thanks. I couldn't resist that blast. I don't know, I don't really give much thought to breaking in pipes anymore. I'm recovering from a cold so I can't smoke yet but it will just be what tobacco I feel like smoking in that moment. Traditionally I use Prince Albert for the first one or two...

Thank you! My grandmother had this place built in the 60's so my grandfather that I mentioned sat right here smoking his pipe many times.

***What Are You Smoking, July 2024?***

Vauen No. 7 Crunchy Blend in my Altinay. I think this is as close as I can get to what I know my grandfather (who inspired me to start pipe smoking) smoked most of the time. I'm pretty sure the tobaccos and flavorings used are the same but the tobacco he smoked was a house blend of a tobacconist...

***What Are You Smoking, July 2024?***

I have been wanting to get an Auenland for a while but felt they were a bit too expensive, being something of a gimmick pipe and all. I recently sold a bunch of pipes to smokingpipes.eu and now I have quite a bit of store credit so I thought why not. Got it in the mail yesterday and now I'm...

Today I smoked Mac Baren Classic Roll Cake, HU Tobacco Indaba, Vauen No. 7 Crunchy Blend, Samuel Gawith Palace Gate and Lakeland Dark. Lakeland Dark in a MM Rob Roy and the rest in the Altinay. Indaba and both the Samuel Gawith blends were new to me and I really enjoyed all of them. I get the...

    Your First Pipe

My first pipe was one that my grandfather gave me in my early teens, A G.L. Lillehammer. I lost it in a move and I still think about it every now and then and feel a little bit sad. I bought a few corn cobs as a teenager but smoked cigarette tobacco in them when I got tired of rolling...
