Enough with all this positivity! Let's get negative! :LOL: What don't you like about Petes? For me it's the fat, rounded shank/stem like on this Sherlock Holmes. It immediately turns me off. I'm also not a big fan of the gap between the shank and stem in the system pipe. Looks incomplete to me.- AreBee

Art Deco Antique Hotel Lobby Ashtray
Beautiful. I just love pieces from this time period I have two art deco ashtray stands which are completely different from each other. One is all chrome and aluminum and very cigarette focused with an integrated 120V lighter element (think old school car lighter). Makes for a good cigar ashtray... -

Removing oxidation from vulcanite stems.
Some before and after shots of some of my projects. I start with a Oxiclean bath stirring constantly for 15-30 minutes. If you don’t stir, you’ll get pits where the crystals settle on the stems. I picked up this Parker No. 125 table lighter for $20 from the local flea market today. A couple dings in it but it polished up nicely. I dug out the wadding to find the wick and repacked it. My 2024 Christmas Pipe is losing it's bright copper sheen and the patina is setting in. I like it a lot. I do polish it from time to time but the sheen does not return to it's original state, and I'm fine with that.- AreBee
