    Flake Cut Troubleshooting

Chasing embers has a quick and easy video about fold and stuff. I dry mine over night, and fold with the grain, fold against the grain and stuff it in the pipe. When it’s dry, it burns better. Good luck.

Support Ingles. If we don’t buy it, they won’t carry it.

What Retired Blends Would you Bring Back?

This not withstanding, I would love to see some of the “American heritage” burley blends back. Seeing George Washington on the shelf next to PA and SWR would be great. If there is a company focusing on resurrecting true to life old blends, I’m in.

Does Pipe Smoking Reduce Stress and/or Blood Pressure?

I would be interested to hear from any medical practitioners that have observed health outcomes over time. I think eating sugar (or sugar additives in processed US foods) is overall significantly more harmful than light pipe tobacco use. Sugar has a way better lobby than tobacco.

Does Pipe Smoking Reduce Stress and/or Blood Pressure?

Not since the days of Jamestowne have people thought smoking anything was “healthy”. There is the datapoint of the 1965 report which was (and will be) the likely last scientific study of the sort regarding pipe smoking. It’s the dose that makes the Poison. Enjoy sparingly and if you want to be...

GH Dark flake aromatic. A cruiser size broadside of Nicotine, gun smoke and maple/tonquin. Jim Links wasn’t kidding when he recommended a small bowl. 😁

A medium bowl (Peterson 313) of Bobs chocolate flake lasted for almost 2 hrs this morning. Delish.

Interesting seeing honeydew listed. If I remember correctly, that is still a flavor used by the great Gawith Company.

Current State of The Pipe Filter

IMO, the Grabow made paper filters are the best paper filters out there for filtering gunk and moisture. I’ve found they also last longer than Medico. For charcoal, the Germans have it best with Vauen, however the filters don’t work as well sealing outside of the Vauen brand.

    Chocolate Flakes of Yore

At your recommendation, have some Chocolate from Two Brothers coming. Def trying the Wilkes smoky chocolate soon too.

    Filter life?

Don’t put good tobacco through a filter past it’s prime. You want the best taste for your money.

Vauen Filters in Petersons. Modding ideas?

Very cool! Agree, it is a biological ability to sense, and a cognitive ability to attach meaning or interpretation to the sensed stimulus, i.e. perception. For nuances in taste and aroma, you are truly in the right place here in the land of pipe tobacco!
