When would one consider a pipe ready for the trash? I saw Cosmic use glue to fix a newly dropped pipe. And I have seen amazing restores. Embers, honestly I have one and I use it daily. This particular bowl is too large for the wind cap I have, so I use a wine cork cut to the right size. I rolled the dice this time and lost, ha. But for those who don't have a wind cap, definitely worth the 2 bucks.- d4k23

Just yesterday I was smoking in the car and placed my pipe on my travel coffee mug in my center console to run into a store. Once I opened the lighter up, the flint had actually fell out of alignment. I put it back in place and seems to light just fine now! The part that spins has zero resistance to it, just spins freely. Usually it had resistance to make the spark and ignite the flame. Maybe I dont know enough about them but I can't figure out any way to adjust or replace anything.- d4k23

Holy Embers!! Chatter Removal [Pic Heavy]
Thanks Al, I thought there should have been another step to prevent the stem from getting out of shape. This stem was my first attempt at this. It is a pipe I dont smoke often since the bowl is so huge. The stem did start to bend and I used a wet paper towel to cool and bend back. Next time...- d4k23

Please do and post it! I saw another thread where you cleaned a stem with a magic eraser, bar keep cleaner, and toothpaste. If I can clean stems without micromesh, that would be awesome! And I used way too much toothpaste, haha. -

According to the video above, this works for all stems. I have a heat gun on the way and will try it out on the ones that need it. Duane, how much toothpaste do you use? I used quite a bit and had to run it through the faucet to clean it off. Maybe just a pea size next time? -
