    Cutting Back

It is nuts to be in your 70's sitting on several hundred pounds of tobacco while buying more.

    Lighters vs Matches

I don't smoke outside, so it's matches for me. Don't like the need with lighters to refill fuel and change flints.

    Favorite bulldog models

I'd agree aboubt the Peterson Squire & Hudson. Think the Squire is the best lookin' bulldog around, which I have. Have the Hudson incoming.

So, was looking, (window shopping), on SP this evening as I do every evening. Following their end-of-December sale when they discounted their pipes 15%, I see they raised the price of Sherlock Holmes pipes $6. Good thing I now have all the SH pipes I want.

    Stupidest Thing I Heard Today.

Today's encounter got me to thinking this might be an amusing thread to start .So, will start with my contribution. Went to our 1 and only local medical supply store to get more nebulizer tubes for my wife. The gal tells me they no longer can bill my wife's Medicare for it because we're out of...

    Just in from STG/MacBaren/Sutliff

Yeah, it doesn't really affect me much, as I've always smoked C&D blends 90% of the time. I like ODF but stopped buying it due to cost. Might somewhat miss match Victorian.

OK, succumbed to temptation. That 15% off tripped me into buying a Hudson. Unfortunately, they don't compound discounts. That is, I'm a bronze member and they didn't apply an additional 5%.

Year-end conclusions. Positive and negative. Tell us about it

Am sorry for your loss. Whoever said old age isn't for sissies is right. No other age features as many losses, family, friends, health , etc. We have lost most of out friends, sometimes with dementia prior to death. My health remains relatively good, but fear for my wife's.

To International Forum Members: What’s Your Liquor?

Not into gin. Would have to be vodka as a martini. However i prefer my vodka martinis so dry it's simply straight vodka.

    Questions for Leonardw

I almost never have a hankering for latakia, but, when I do, it's 1 of my 2 favorite latakia blends.

I've focused on buying new pipes for years now, though, about 2 years ago did buy a like new estate Baskerville from SP that was around 23% off, which I felt was enough of a discount.

Yeah, but have noticed SP has been pricing their estate Petes at prices near the equivalent new pipes for some time now. Back in the old days I had this hard rule I wouldn't buy an estate that wasn't at least 1/3 off the price of new. Anymore, seems you're lucky to find estate Petes at SP for...

    Show Off Your Petersons Here!

OK, I'm not showing off a Peterson but it is tangentially about a Peterson and didn't want to start a thread just for this mini-bitch. ;) I've been toying around with the thought of picking up a SH Hudson for awhile now and like to check SP, particularly its estates. For a while they've had this...

There is Nothing Unauthentic About American Italian or Chinese Food

Love some Thai dishes but none which contain coconut milk as I don't care for the taste of it. Generally love any hot, spicy cuisine.

There is Nothing Unauthentic About American Italian or Chinese Food

My Taiwanese buddy seldom washed his pans because he claimed the spices used would disinfect it.

There is Nothing Unauthentic About American Italian or Chinese Food

Ate at a Panda Express once. Thought it one of the worst Chinese food dining experiences I've had. I thought Panda Express' food was rather crappy. ;) When i was an undergrad, had a friend from Taiwan. Once he cooked me an "authentic" Chinese meal. Worst Chinese food I ever ate.

    Another Reason I Appreciate Laudisi/SmokingPipes.com

    Questions for Leonardw

Have never detected any topping in LNF and only the barest of perique flavor which is why I'm not that fond of LNF. Want my VaPers to leave no doubt there's a Per in there with the Va. :)
