    Favorite Whole Album

The majority of my favorite albums have been mentioned by others so I won't repeat those here. But here are two that sit near the top of my list that haven't been mentioned yet: - Vangelis: Heaven and Hell - Billy Thorpe: Children of the Sun (The original, not the reworked/remastered/ruined...

    Wrestlemania Comes to Parish Meeting👊💥

I love this line from the article: It will consider whether the pair breached codes of conduct in an altercation witnesses said involved raised voices, punches and “a rugby-type tackle”. Just how lax is their code of conduct that there's a question about this?!?

Found A Leak In My Jeep Radiator

They know it. But momentum is a powerful thing, and they've built up a lot of it by focusing on the top end of the market. https://jalopnik.com/automakers-plan-to-build-more-cheap-cars-because-were-a-1851753825

    Super Bowl!

Being from Pittsburgh, I'm pretty sure that I'm required by law to root against the Eagles. But I just can't. Let's go <whoever's playing against the Chiefs>.

    Cookbooks

A friend's mother collected cookbooks. When she passed away there were about 1,100 including a bunch of those published by small organizations (churches, social clubs, etc.). Thankfully there was someone who wanted them so the collection stayed together. But I can't tell you how many times over...

Show off Your Corn Cobs Here!

Neither centers well in the shank of the pipes I've used them in, and one has an off-center slot at the button. But they both work fine. The draw is tighter than the standard MM stems (sans filter) but I have a couple of briars with factory stems that are actually harder to draw on. I don't...

Show off Your Corn Cobs Here!

I have a couple of forever stems and they're fine. Are they perfect? No. But the two I have are fine. However, if you're interested, you can buy replacement stems from MM: Bits & Filters Archives - CornCobPipe.com - https://corncobpipe.com/product-category/pipe-accessories/pipe-bits-filters/

Or even better (if you're into it) as Horace Rumpole in Rumpole of the Bailey.

L.J. Peretti Stacked Up Against Other Tinned Brand Names

I'm a big fan of Peretti. I've never tried their aromatics, but their English and burley blends are top-notch. I'll second Pipke's recommendations for Tashkent and Royal. I'm also a big fan of D-9507. For me their blends are well worth it.

A Little Humor for the Day 2025

My girlfriend broke up with me. Her dog died, and I thought it would be a nice gesture to get her another one just like it. She screamed at me, "What the hell am I supposed to do with two dead dogs?"

Do different pipe shapes work well, or not so well, with different tobaccos?

I've never found the shape of pipes to have any effect on smoking quality, but for me I find that bowl size does have an effect. I like Latakia blends best in smaller bowls, and Virginia blends in larger bowls. Note that this runs exactly counter to what people told me when I was starting out...

    Radice Pipes

My 2¢ - I have a few Radice pipes and they're great smokers. But I like the look of their older pipes more than those they're producing now. That's just my personal taste. I feel the same way about Ser Jacopo pipes. If you find a Radice you like then I think it'd be worth going for.
