    PAD Traps

For me, its usually based on weight first, then shape. I mostly clench when I smoke, so having anything over 2.5 ounces is usually uncomfortable. That being said, I do have 1 or 2 bigger pipes that are just beautiful works of art that also smoke very well and make for a nice afternoon at...

    Tobaccos I miss

I do honestly miss McClelland’s just because of the amount of really solid blends they had. Never got into Dunhill blends that weren’t Latakia forward so can’t comment on their Virginia blends. I also miss For Him’s Shortcut to Mushrooms. That was a nice aromatic English that just disappeared...

    Recent TAD Pick-Ups

Was looking at The Country Squire’s website the other day and saw this. Was not aware they had a release for the last episode of their podcast. Grabbed two tins as I have too much unopened stock to get to, but it’s a 14yr Red Virginia flake by Sutliff so I figured it would be worth trying.

Got some turkey hunting in this morning and yard work done this afternoon. Winding down with some more Pennsylvania Dutch Treat from Boswell’s.

Show Us Your American Made Pipes

Outside of my cobs, didn’t really have any American made pipes until today. Got this Boswell in and looking forward to a nice relaxing bowl this evening:

Had to delay our St Patrick’s Day celebration until today, but sticking with tradition since 2010. St Patrick’s Day Pete w/ 1792 Flake and Guinness on the side.

    Ken Byron Ventures Tobaccos

I am still curious to try some of these myself. My issue is the compulsive bulk buys when I do find one I like and I am sitting on too much as it is (for my use rate at least).

    Peterson St. Patrick’s Day 2023

I got one I really liked once SP came back up, but then I saw one of the sandblasted ones. Thought about grabbing a 2nd and canceling the first but the constant downtime of SP made that not even worth trying. Knowing them, both pipes would be sold and then I would end up without either (has...

What a Samuel Gawith Tin Looks Like After 10 Years

I was reading through this thread and remembered the same, so I did find the post in question. So here is the thread you are thinking of, and the response in it: https://pipesmagazine.com/forums/threads/g-h-balkan.94281/page-2#post-36683377 "Except we then have complaints that tins are too...

Your Blend Of The Year 2022

My 2022 standouts: 1. 1792 Flake - Has been close to 10 years since I last bought a tin and this has to be one of my new favorites. 2. Aberrant - This blend is like adding a little something extra in flavor to ODF while still being something different enough to standout. Glad I stocked up on...

    Forever Unfaithful

I could probably do 1 blend, but I couldn’t name what it would be right now if I had to choose. It would be between Peterson Irish Flake, SG 1792, or MacB ODF though more than likely
