    Does Bowl Shape and Size Affect Taste/Burn of Tobacco?

    For me it comes down to bowl size and blend/cut. Narrow for a flake, mostly because it burns on the slower side. For an English blend, I grab a wider, shorter bowl. I get more gurgle from an English blend if its in a narrow bowl. This is just my experience however.

    I actually just got a Peterson x220. Even thought the chamber fits the bill for me.. the size of the stummel is just too big. So there is even a hand feel to the pipe size that I find important. It feels like a club in my hand. I don't think it will be in my possession for very long.

    I am not a fan personally of big pipes. I have found I prefer a 30-45 min smoke. 18-19mm chamber is my go to.

    I agree. Half a bowl is a nice sample smoke. Long enough to get a cadence going, and short enough to move onto something else if its not the right fit.
