    I basically only smoke at home. Only close friends know I smoke a pipe. In the UK there are few place one can smoke and they are full of cigarette smokes. I can stand the smell of them!

    I only smoke one or two bowls a week. I jar every tin I open. They are ok for years. Use small jars. And don't worry.

    I feel your problem is simple. You are not enjoying it anymore so stop. But should you restart? This is perhaps the real question. I think you Will know the answer when you smell pipe tobacco and think " I must get some of that" in the meantime I wish you a swift recovery.

    I have seen that. But the vast majority do smoke. And, of course, ignore advice not to do so for a few days.

    Dry socket is terrible. It's not always smokers but mostly. The pain is reported almost universally as severe. It's also not really responsive to most analgesics. Lastly , it takes a long time to finally heal. So don't smoke after an extraction!

    Dentist(retired!) Clay pipes wear a space over time. Other types of stem act rather like an orthodontic brace and move teeth. Often upper teeth forward and lowers backwards. In line with forces. It actually takes very little force to move teeth if applied over time
