    London Pipe Shops

I was in London recently went to JJ Fox, they didn't have a huge selection. It was cool going there for nostalgia but its nothing like it was, very cigar focused. As others have noted there is a Davidoff shop very close by as well.

    Should I Buy Aged Tobacco?

A good way to try aged tobacco is in a blend that uses aged leaf. One I like is Fusiler's ration reserve which is available on pipes and cigars. Russ uses 10 year old virginia in that blend and its quite good.

    Drying flake tobacco

Thanks for posting this question. I've had similar challenges at times with flake tobacco. I now prepare about an hour ahead of time for drying but even that doesn't always work. A good example is Brown Sugar Flake that seems to need even more time and I'm sure there are others like it.

How Long Should a Bowl Last?

Varies significantly by pipe size/tobacco. I'd say typically mine range 45 mins to 1.5hrs depending on combination of those factors.
