Buying Multiples of the Same Pipe

I bought three identical pipes. I sold two, and I deeply regret it. Embrace the love

Talk me out of buying this pipe

I thought I was going to see a picture of a Castello or some danish pipe forth thousands. I say buy every Rossi. You are not going to go hungry for the price of any Rossi.

***What Are You Smoking, February 2024?***

Old homemade blend of don’t know what kind of burley, but burley is good any day. In a 1998 Peterson sandblasted apple with spigot. These old spigots with a thin vulcanite saddle stem are wonderful.

In An Age of Free Returns, Does Buyers Remorse Exist Anymore?

I returned a pipe I bought over eBay and the seller gave me some real nasty attitude. The reason I returned it was because I did not like the way it felt at all holding it. That’s how we buy/not buy pipes in B&M. There was a box I clicked for “changed my mind” and yet the seller acted like I...

    Winter Weather Challenge

I’m in Tomball but was raised in Washington State. This is good weather for wearing wool hat, coat, gloves, socks, and thermal underwear too and bottom. Some hot coffee or tea. I smoked three times outside today. It is possible! My limit is about 6 degrees Fahrenheit, maybe lower!

    In Praise of Missouri Meerschaum

Yes, but coffee is not original to the Americas. Like grapes for wine, it comes from the Old World. Coffee originated in Ethiopia I believe.

    In Praise of Missouri Meerschaum

I read this thread this morning and went out to smoke a corn cob. It was wonderful. Marketing is a b$&tch. Corn cobs get the job done if you reach for burley.

    Besides your Family and Friends....

It was Covid lockdown and I wanted something to get my mind at peace. I was also in a doctorate program, so my mind needed to stop and relax instead of swipe endlessly apocalyptic news articles about how many more people got hospitalized. The pipe got me outside away from screens .

    What’s the Difference?

I don’t know the logic of the which pipes get coats and which do not. Most do not, but the Castello factory does it for some. It may be to keep with the dark aesthetic of the design, like in the photo shared, because the one Castello I had with the coating was also a dark pipe.

    What’s the Difference?

This is a topic I think about all the time. I want to believe that expensive pipes are better for being expensive. We attribute quality to things we are asked a lot of money for. If you threw 25 pipes in a bag for me to smoke over a year, cobs, cheap briar, clay, and expensive briar brands, and...
