***What Are You Smoking, September 2025?***

Another popped tin. Stonehenge Flake in a Piersel. My most heavily stocked blend. It was a sad day when I learned it went bye bye. Always curious why they cut this blend. Louisiana Flake by G&H is not the same in my opinion. Then again I’ve smoked pounds of Stonehenge to maybe 8oz of Louisiana...

    Squirrel Season

I’ll occasionally go on a squirrel hunt. But this is what really gets me going when I’m in the woods…

    Question About Temple Bar

Wait a dog-gone minute. You were born in 1958? Boy you sure took me for one big ride. Would have thought you were older than that!

A rare desire of something light and sweet. Dug around and found a jar of Luxury Twist Flake from 2017. First ten minutes in this Altinay Meer it is satisfying the initial desire.

    Cellar Label Collection

Interesting jar choice. It does have a substantial rubber gasket on the lid. Do you keep it In the top door shelf of the refrigerator next to the butter and cream cheese?

***What Are You Smoking, August 2025?***

I’ve got quite a few cheap pipes that could fit the bill. I took to this particular pipe because of its smoking mechanics. Therefore it accompanied me on a myriad of situations. I was very disappointed the first time it hit the floor. It is too nice of a pipe to be abused! As time and nicks...

2021 Sun Bear in a Caminetto. This is one of my most abused pipes. Not from neglect but from love. This pipe is so dry and smokes everything very well. So it gets brought everywhere and is subject to a lot. Has survived quite a few drops very well.

The shake of a tin of Firebird Flake. This blend is aging well. 2nd tin sang better than the first.

***What Are You Smoking, August 2025?***

Finishing this bowl of Stonehenge Flake in a Scott’s Pipe from 2019 that I started while putting a new chain on the chainsaw earlier. Just cleaned up a dead fallen oak on the wood line of the side lawn. Took out a nice 8” Maple and a decent Sassafras on the descent. Stacked and waiting for...

    Pipes for putting around

Good to know. I’ll take a look at the Brulor as well. I’ve got quite a few smaller pipes. They often serve a need when time is tight.
