    Pfeifen Huber Pipes?

Here it is on the Il Ceppo, rather small and understated. HUBER over Munchen.

    Pfeifen Huber Pipes?

Pfeifen Huber is a pipe shop in Munich. I don’t know if they make their own pipes or not. I happen to have three pipes that came from their store and are stamped with their logo—two Petersons and an Il Ceppo.

    Favorite Factory Pipe Brands

Maybe because the first pipe gifted to me was a Stanwell, I’ve always been a fan of the brand. Always a solid smoker.

    Recent TAD Pick-Ups

Any idea how old it is? I see old, empty George Washington tins on eBay rather frequently

    Best Match Codger Blends

I pick up a bit of Match VIP because I was intrigued by the birch flavoring. It’s a decent aromatic that I enjoy from time to time.

    Poorly Listed eBay Treasures

I imagine I will always refer to this pipe as The Chataran

    Poorly Listed eBay Treasures

I posted this pipe earlier today on the Pipe Acquisition of the Year thread, but I was curious to see who has had similar experiences. I scored this Reuben-era Charatan on eBay earlier this year. It was listed incorrectly as a Chataran (sp.) and there was only one photo, so I was the only...

Your Pipe Acquisition of the Year

I scored this Reuben-era Charatan on eBay earlier this year with the help of a forum member who graciously received it from the UK-based seller and shipped it on to me in the States. It was listed incorrectly as a Chataran and there was only one photo, so I was the only (lucky) bidder. I have...

***What Are You Smoking, December 2022?***

Starting today with some WCC Glass Slipper in this Jarl that I’m in the process of cleaning up. Nice little pipe, lightweight, tall chamber. Anybody familiar with this pipe maker? It’s Danish and it seems to be hand cut.

Diamond in the Rough or Diamond-Shanked Turd?

I say diamond in the rough. Nice find!

    My 5th George Boyadjiev

Really nice pipe! And super cool that you know the guy who makes them for you.

Your Blend Of The Year 2022

Thanks to the forums, I tried some blends from WCC for the first time this year. I really enjoyed Rhythm & Blues, Deluxe Crumb Cut and Old Black Magic.

A Christmas Poem by Malcolm Guite

I enjoyed this poem and thought I would share it here. Malcolm Guite is a poet from Cambridge and a fellow pipe smoker—a real delightful chap. If you want to skip the backstory, he begins the poem at 3:45. Merry Christmas to all!

Sutliff Molto Dolce & CBRM Alternative?

Maybe check out GH&C American Cherry Vanilla. It’s an aromatic that I really enjoy. I used the search filter on the SPC site that another forum member mentioned earlier, excluding Burley, and it can through as an option. Maybe it will work for you as you look for something to replace CBRM. Good...

    Cringle Flake 2022 Dec 3rd

I don’t know how well stocked these tobacco companies are, but could these 21 and 19-year old tobaccos be considered “limited and rare” simply because there is nothing else available that’s close in age? If there aren’t any 10-18 year old tobaccos in store, then it will be awhile before...
