What Are Your Top Five Pipe Accessories?

I’m pretty sure these five get the most use.

    Tongue Bite on First/Char Light

Acrylic really needs some age on it before it is enjoyable. It mellows it out. Vulcanite used to be good, but they moved the production to Denmark and it hasn’t been the same since.

Just received this Mastro Geppetto estate in the mail today, smoking some Elizabethan Mixture in it for my first smoke.

5 Months In, I Still Have No Idea How to Pack a Pipe

Early on, Classic Burley Kake was one of my favorites not just because it tasted good, but because I found it easy to load and smoke. You will probably find some other blends that work well for you. It will eventually get easier. Your ratio of good/bad smokes will keep improving.

    Lack of Respect for Sutliff?

I have noticed lately that several of my regular smokes are made by Sutliff. I have also noticed over the time I have been a member of this site (approximately 2.5 years) that Sutliff sometimes is talked about like it is some garbage brand. I notice this on TR also. Why is that? I’ve only been...

    New Acquisition

I have four of them, and will eventually have more. All smoke well. I particularly like the swirls he does on some of the stummels and stems. I can’t seem to locate the fourth one at the moment.

Trouble Keeping Sutliff Ready Rubbed Lit.

I smoke this often and I second the gravity feed. I would also the echo the advice about making sure it is well lit. Once you get the pack and lighting down this stuff actually burns pretty well.

    My Morning Smoke

It might not pack as much flavor as you like, but I enjoy Sutliff Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match first thing in the morning. I enjoy it any time of day really, but it is my morning go-to smoke.

    C&D Excusive

How does Exclusive change as it ages? I’ve only had it “fresh” and I find that I don’t reach for it all that often.

I bow to your talents. This is awesome.

    Tinker Toy Pipe Stand

I like this, but wihout a propeller I am not sure if it really qualifies as a pipe stand.

    Italian Pipes: Just my Style?

One thing that is different about the Italian pipes I have; most of them have a concave space drilled at the stem end, like the one below. It’s a little thing, but it is a difference. By the way, the picture above is an estate pipe I just got from SP today. Looks like I had better give it...
