Yes, I do exactly that. Most every bowl. Burns better and tastes better. However, I recently cube cut some FVF and when I dumped the ash, most everything spilled out.- Mr_houston

Why Peterson?

Tobacco Storage Questions
I have heard of people with that superpower. But it isn’t me. I have 20 tins open at all times, so, I use small ball jars for those. If it takes 2 years to finish a tin, the tobacco is still fine.- Mr_houston

Mold help needed tonight.
Follow up: I tossed the tin at the shop. I kept this mostly private, because the guy I bought it from was at the table. I didn’t want to make him feel bad. He wouldn’t have known. As I dumped it out bit by bit, the mold was growing throughout the tin. It was nasty. I just hadn’t seen that...- Mr_houston

Mold help needed tonight.
Guys, I am smoking with the Houston Pipe Club right now. I brought a 2016 8oz tin of Chelsea Morning to pop and pass around. Popped the top and found mold. It’s yellowish white. Can I remove an inch of tobacco off the top and smoke it anyway? How dangerous is this? Thanks. We are waiting...- Mr_houston

Is it acceptable to throw bagged tobaccos into a Tupperdor?
I’ve got 2 Tupperware boxes for random baggies and open tins of tobacco. One for Latakia blends and one for all else. None of this is fit long term storage, but are part of my open tins. The better stuff is in short term jars.- Mr_houston

Blend specific pipe
My pipes are divided primarily in two categories - Virginia pipes and Latakia pipes. My main goal is to be able to smoke VAs without tasting Latakia, which can easily dominate more subtle leaves.
